Good heavens, that's an interesting transition.

legendary setlist t b h

hope somebody recorded this shit

Not from tonight but here's a recording from their show in Amsterdam if you're interested.

youtube.com/watch?v=6pqFXEjbd_s

I'm part of the reason they don't play Creep much anymore. I'd honestly just go for Creep, even though I like some of their other songs okay too.

damn

It's on Periscope

...

>05 Ful Stop
>06 Lotus Flower
>07 The National Anthem
>08 My Iron Lung
That's fucking savage.

Thom nailed it desu, reminded me that I actually like this song

did he seem into it or just like w/e w/e?

periscope.tv/w/1mnGewkROabxX

Here it is, taken much more seriously than the 2009 one

Shit I'm seeing them on Thursday. They better play National Anthem.

Lotus Flower is a beast live.

Was he actually into it too? Or just going through the motions.

Video's not good enough to tell, but he sounded great

HOLY SHIT that sounds amazing

Nah he was totally into it, from what I could hear in the stream, can't wait for a proper recording.

Also, for those who've seen the shows in Europe: how has Holly Herndon been? I thought that was an interesting choice for an opener.

never mind, checked out the video and it gave me goosebumps

Also can we talk about true love waits? Damn, thom sang it beautifully.

can you explain why you dislike their other songs? who are some of your other favorite artists?

i can't understand how someone could only like Creep

youtube.com/watch?v=1JEWAEH88EU

Mfw Thom did this literally 2 days ago in Amsterdam

I haven't been able to get into any of their albums except OK Computer. Liking Creep started out as an ironic contrarianism thing for me, but it became unironic over time, to the point where it is by far my favorite Radiohead song.

>2001 (once)
>2006 (once)
>2009 (twice)
>2016 (once)
Are these the only times they played it?

i mean i do like Creep too, but it's just one of their most generic/uninnovative songs.

top fuckin banter

Oh Thommy

>open this thread
>it isn't bait

Liking it was the only reason I gave OK Computer another chance to click with me, so it's got that going for it too.

Fuck, this really is the end of radiohead isn't it. Finally even playing Creep live. Full circle.

After this tour it's over.

any idea what version of TLW they played? was it straight from the new album or was there any mix between the two?

They played it in 2009.

instagram.com/p/BFw3V0ARRnG/

Nah man, they played creep in 2009 too. There's no reason to believe they're calling it quits, they've obviously still got a lot in them.

>24 song live set

god damn

>end album with True Love Waits
>play Creep live
>9th album, 9th symphony curse
They had a good run

damg

>WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

SHUT UP HE IS TRYING TO TELL US STORY

they usually choose great opening artists tbqh! seeing caribou live on tkol tour was a highlight, as well as james holden opening for atoms for peace. deerhoof, liars, and kid koala have toured with them as well.

thom also personally contacted autechre to open for them in like 2001 but they declined.

do you think Thom's divorce is making him take things a little more seriously now?

the'll be fine

Dude takes dance music way to fucking seriously as it is

I can sort of see some form of pattern in when they will play it live. You said they played
>2001 (once)
>2006 (once)
>2009 (twice)
>2016 (once)
Each of the times mentioned starts with two-zero (20).
I can, with extreme confidence, tell you all that they will play Creep again before 2100. Should be easier now since you guys have a general idea of the pattern in which they perform Creep live.

>this is for the funny guy yelling creep in the back

youtube.com/watch?v=pdwAkoQO6j8

Thom seems weird, like sort of happy but also sad, i feel like he has become more comfortable with himself and his life

No Magpie? srsly?

he seems more happy definetly, enjoying life and having a good time, no more depressed thommy i guess

>end album with videotape
>play creep live
Just saying. Also the ninth symphony thing is a myth anyway. I'm not ready to say goodbye to this band.

have you guys not seen them live before? during breaks thom has always had funny and weird banter.

i like creep, seriously, obviously not my fav shit but hey, it's a good song... memes aside

>but also sad

Not he's not

Well, it is his iron lung after all

we had kraftwerk in south america, that was sick

this
>youtube.com/watch?v=VV80joRYBAo

youtube.com/watch?v=8SKYh1UPom4

>tfw he can still sing it

youtube.com/watch?v=8SKYh1UPom4&feature=youtu.be

he actually sang it like he gave a shit too

>does the 'just a laugh' bit from decks dark and mock laughs before

tip top banter, thomas

when i saw them in 2008 thom introduced all the band members as superheroes. he said he was spiderman and jonny was catwoman, lol.

there wasn't any doubt about it, i believe they just choose not to play it

This is a fantastic setlist

>first time in forever
They've played the song multiple times in 2009 actually
youtube.com/watch?v=gpmO_7yKUHM

do you mean like even more seriously? cmon

There was. Thom was struggling with the final third of the song back in 2009, Im actually quite surprised that his voice is actually in better shape now than 7 years ago.

Thom can sing fine, he just has to give a shit and put the effort in. He has a tendency to phone in the old songs that he's fallen out of favor with, so it's always surprising when you hear him sing Lucky or Paranoid Android or something and actually try, which he apparently nailed tonight.

So maybe he's taking things a bit more seriously or isn't burned out yet since the tour just started

how well he sins is totally dependent on how much he's dancing desu. when he grooves harder, his voices suffers a bit but it's also more fun to watch. so it's a no lose situation as far as i'm concerned.

>So maybe he's taking things a bit more seriously or isn't burned out yet since the tour just started

Or maybe the song got a new meaning for him after the divorce. Maybe im reading too much into it but yeah, i agree with you. You just have to listen to the performances of Planet Telex and The Bends of 2009, thom pretty much despises all the songs from that era.

It would be great if they decided to play Blow Out in this tour tho.

*sings

this is amazing. he can still sing like in 93

I saw Radiohead in 2008 and a couple times in 2012, and got a Planet Telex in both years, and he actually sang it just fine. I think that one and Street Spirit they all still generally like

>2009 was seven years ago

No way. Feels like it was 3 years ago.

BOY HE BOUT TO DO IT

man i thought i was over radiohead, but this album and following this tour has brought back all the feels.

these setlists are as good as they were in in rainbows, when they would add in those little treats. in 2008 they played like blow out, black star, shit like that and it seems like they doin that for this tour

oh shit waddup

What's the song at 32:00?

>saw radiohead in blackpool's winter gardens, 10 years ago this month
it was like a dream, Sup Forums, i wish you all could've been there

Same here. I'm listening to A Moon Shaped Pool on a daily basis basically. It's been a long time since I've got this much into a new album.

one of the shows i saw them at in 2008 had a fucking amazing setlist
setlist.fm/setlist/radiohead/2008/verizon-wireless-amphitheatre-charlotte-nc-1bd6bd90.html

in 2012 i got to hear subterranean homesick alien though :')

Videotape isn't a song that sat around for 20+ years

There There. Fantastic song.
youtube.com/watch?v=7AQSLozK7aA

Nude sat around for awhile tho

>yfw they can't play the dreamy backwards intro live
Shit sucks

same here, can't stop listening to it, is like, not mindblownd but it doesn't bore me

>just 'cause you feel it
>doesn't mean it's there
