>Grime isn't a synonym for "British rap/hip-hop" you mongs.

>black people with British accents

lol that picture
>try to be American by stealing our music
>try to be American by wearing our sports shirts

get some originality britbongistan

Lots of people on Sup Forums know enough about garage, jungle and dnb to understand the context of how grime formed

As for the rest of it, well I guess you can't appreciate American rap music on any level seeing as you haven't had a first-hand experience of hip hop culture at street level, huh?

I'm a britfag who's been familiar with grime since Dizzee & Lethal Bizzle got massive back in the day. You sound like a wanker m8

Why are bongs so deeply in denial about grime being hip-hop?

LISTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN

I can't even take them seriously. It's just too funny.

>Constantly mock Americans for not having culture
>Copy American music, follow American sports teams (or at least wear their merch for fashion purposes)

>no significant contributions to classical music
>no significant contributions to avant garde music
>stole rock n roll from America
>stole dance music from Chicago / Detroit

They just want SOMETHING they can claim as their own

Of course it's hip hop, nobody in the grime scene actually pretends like it's not indebted to American rap music - these guys grew up listening to US rap music. But it's a regional spin on it with its own flavour. Like trap, bounce, drill, g-funk - grime has a certain sound that comes from an amalgamation of influences from the area.

>overrated meme shit

Agreed except that Britbongs on Sup Forums will categorically deny it being related to rap

...

Eh well their opinion is laughable then, isn't it?

Grime banger of the year just came out.

Will he ever run out?

his reusing of that bar kinda proves it, no?

it's like his big wheel up bar it's his thing

they're retarded.
>"lol mate it's not hip-hop it comes from [insert made up genre name here] it's clearly dance music"

What genre do you think this is, then?

STOWP DAT WIT TAHT

damage control, now that people are calling grime out for the trash it is

british hip-hop

there's obvs a lot of us hip-hop influence in grime, but to say it's a subgenre of hip-hop is just wrong, when musically and stylistically it's grown out of UKG and the junglist MC culture- these guys grew up listening to people like General Levy and Congo Natty as much as they did american MCs

nobody cares about your shitty irrelevant music. Go get married and have kids.

>NBA merchandise
>Canary Wharf in background
lel

nobody cares britshit

Grime IS hip-hop though. It's a subgenre of hip-hop made by brits with dubstep, future garage, and uk bass influence

Future garage hahahahaha ur dumb

Someone MCing over garage riddims.

very good senpai u pass the test

She was right this time.

Right or otherwise, she was still a moron to say it. With an ego and mouth that big, nobody wants to work with that insane looking bitch. You've gotta keep opinions to yourself sometimes, girl needs to learn some fucking tact.

Especially because she was headlining a fesival featuring uk hip-hop and grime artists among dubstep, garage, dnb, funky, house, techno, and jungle artists

I seriously think she was coked out to fuck in that video. Only way to explain how short sighted she was, along with her ridiculously aggressive and smug demeanor.

You sound like the kind of person that uses the word "inappropriate". I thought it was hilarious

If you mean I'm a britbong, you are correct.

Last i remember of grime was the DTA Grime Mixtape

its garage you dolts
