who are they

ken monde, they play wannabe sludge metal for hipsters, not very interesting

what would you reccomend above them?

I want more people to discover this band

eyehategod, buzzoven, iron monkey

How do you feel about pissed jeans?

can't say i've heard them

Can someone recommend noise rock with a big fat dirty low end, preferably with some groove but chaotic is good too

Perfect Pussy
Pissed Jeans
Big Black
Lots of Drive-in-Theatre

I didn't really enjoy this album either. Only checked it out cause it was produced by Albini. I haven't checked out their other stuff though

daughters

I recommend this album to people who are fans of noise rock, shoegaze, and post-rock.

Also, noise rock albums I've been digging lately are
Blind Idiot God s/t
The complete studio recordings of Mars

Any recs?

lightning bolt
the dead c

Huh. I always thought that was a underground hip hop album judging by the cover. Might give it a go now.

>Unironically recommending Perfect Pussy

The only "big fat dirty low end" in Perfect Pussy is between Meredith Graves' legs.

More albums like Heroin Man?

kek

Are Boris and Melt-Banana the best currently active noise rock acts? I'd say so.

They seem pretty good, but not very noise rock from what I've heard.

What's their noisiest song?

I'm not exactly sure what big fat dirty low end means in my defense.

Cherubs - Heroin Man

holy shit kek

shall listen

I'd imagine he's looking for something with a super heavy bass and lower frequency worship. Perfect Pussy's almost the antithesis to that. The vocals alone cross PP off the list of eligable bands for his query.

I basically meant a really heavy bass guitar sound, kinda like Lightning Bolt or Death From Above 1979 (not noise rock but they got the tone)

i can't find this album anywhere. someone help me :(

it's on soulseek

voyager is a 10/10

I saved this from another thread

and another one. Hopefully some people will find this useful

>no girl band
Fook off chaps

any favorites from this year?

i've barely heard anything from this year, been too preoccupied listening to other stuff

Love Twin Infinitives

can In Utero be considered noise rock?

it is

It's math rock

but its grunge guys :DD

In points, definitely

The Drones' new album is great but it's not all noise rock. The new Guerilla Toss album and new Pop 1280 album are good too

Any akimbo fans in here? I'm obsessed with them

It's like black flag and the melvins had a crack baby

youtu.be/Yn_u78Ye_58

wow goddamn

Why does no one ever talk about this?

Good stuff, thanks for sharing.

Dude everyone talks about that, all the time

it's already been discussed a million times on Sup Forums

glad you enjoyed it

Really? I never see it that often

newfag detected

Not even, Like i see it posted a little, but like never really mentioned other than "Hey, this one's good"

what

to be fair, there's not a lot of new things you can say about an album from 1987

this is true. Any recs for stuff like this?

There's always new things to say about things.

listen to this album right now you fucking faggots

shockabilly - vietnam/heaven

cop shoot cop

The opening track on that album I posted is one of their noisiest

The GOAT

I've got mixed thoughts on Arab on Radar - I feel like that album is stronger as a whole, but Soak the Saddle has some of my favorite songs from them, this banger especially:

youtube.com/watch?v=cJ3n3k48ESQ
>that one note guitar riff at 0:49

>feedbacker
what the fuck, why. pink is the noise rock album, or at least heavy rocks.
feedbacker is like, drone/doom metal

used to be pink but an user suggested feedbacker. feel free to update it though

DOPE BODY

You mean 'At The Drive-In'?

spaced out brit krautrock with drums that would make charles hayward cream his pants

youtube.com/watch?v=NOLyapz9Ycg

I don't really think Boris can be considered a purely noise rock band desu

It's literally sub-Sup Forumscore man
Not that it deserves it, Albini is overrated

Is there any more noise rock that's like Glenn Branca or Daydream Nation Sonic Youth (or Loveless from MBV if that counts) where it's basically classical music but instead of giant arrangements of acoustic instruments it's giant arrangements of guitar textures?

exactly what i was thinking

Anything more like this, especially this bit

youtu.be/SY49Qt9JSBw?t=198

rhys chatham - die donnergötter

Nobody likes your stupid fucking music, shill.

lol why am i a shill?

>eyehategod
kys

big black all the way

love u

No, I actually just made up a band. I'm not even really sure why either.

Anyone have suggestions for poppier noise rock? Like J. Roddy Walston & the buisness (not REALLY noise rock, but catchy as fuck)
McLusky or No Age.

ponytail

This is really no-wave and it was by far my favorite from last year. I really, REALLY recommend checking it out of you haven't.

youtube.com/watch?v=Zgi3ZvolkRQ

HEALTH

Medicine maybe.
