Anything you would change about this Sup Forums?

Me personally I would change 70's to "Yes - Close to The Edge", and 80's to "Talking Heads - Remain in Light".

I think i would change the 2000s to MPP

>begins and ends with black people
p o e t r y

yes on remain in light, as doolittle came out in '89, very late. I'm not sure about close to the edge though, because DSotM is probably more "definitive" 70s music.

Feels and Strawberry Jam are better IMO.

niggas on the moon is objectively better than mbdtf

2010s to anything that isn't fucking Kanye.
80s to something else.

This 100%
I was going to say it in the OP but forgot.

throw out radiohead, 90s for like GY!BE F#A# and 00s for either Illionise or MPP. 60s should be dylan or pet sounds. Rest are fine. (Assuming you're talking about the most popular stuff)

Pet Sounds better than TVU&N? It's a great album for sure, but no where near that. Highway 61 Revisited or Blonde On Blonde however I can see being the best of the 60's.

definitely, but they weren't really a staple of the 2000s, if that makes any sense lol

This is fucking disgusting. Put Blackstar on for the 2010's

i can pretty much get behind all of this

fitting that radiohead have 2 decades in their pocket

I guess, 60s is probably the hardest decade to pick one though

ahahahhah oh dear tripper, Blackstar isn't even better than The Next Day and it's certainly not the best album of the decade

for actually comparing to MBDTF, Newsom, Sufjan, Hecker and Swans are surely better places to look than senile or dead Bowie

Aren't you the literal retard who goes to Radford?

>50s, 60s, and 70s aren't all bossa nova albums
bait

I was just thinking best album, but I can see what you mean.

fuck blackstar

No lol.

But I am arguably the best trip.

Pet sounds >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> TVU&N

all trips are bad
so are all anons
everyone on this site is terrible

fuck off montie

remain in light came out in 80
very early

PLEB DETECTED
PLEB DETECTED

Was gonna say this was 90's, but what do ya know it was released 2000.

Recorded 1999 tho

>tfw there will never be another CLT

yeah but the point is that all of doolittle's importance and impact struck after the 80s

OK Computer is the most overrated record of all time. I mean it's good, but eh. Not that good.

Nevermind was a good record... not the best record of the 90s but culturally iconic, and helped define its time. That would be a much better choice.

Straight Outta Compton would be a better choice for the 80s. At least 10 years ahead of its time. Shaped the musical landscape for decades to come.

>Picking pop sounds

> OK Computer is the most overrated record of all time

oh fucking christ

> Straight Outta Compton would be a better choice for the 80s
WOWWWW

He's actually right.

straight outta compton has aged terribly minus a few songs

go back to jerking off to Trout Mask Replica with the rest of the circlejerk faggots.

You are undoubtedly the worst trip this website.

>Low
This wasn't good, stop this.

>implying pop is inherently bad

about which? you're seriously telling me nevermind is better than ok computer?

facts, about 4 songs i'd listen to at best. for 80s rap standards it was great but no 80s rap record is the best music of the decade

i don't even really like TMR

50s: Only correct choice
60s: Magical Mystery Tour
70s: Sticky Fingers
80s: Strangeways
90s: Definitely Maybe
00s: Panopticon
10s: N/A - all trash

Modern Vampires of the City (alternatively, To Pimp A Butterfly)

2010's: Sleep Cycle (I don't give a fuck, it's the album I've enjoyed the most out of this decade.)
2000's: Feels (Again, I know people fucking hate this and hail fucking Sung Tongs - which, I'll just say it, is hugely overrated - over this, but I think it's a flawless masterpiece on all levels and few albums compare to this for me.)
1990's: Laughing Stock
1980's: The Velocity of Love
1970's: Close to the Edge
1960's: Astral Weeks
1950's: I haven't explored this decade enough. Everything I've heard out of it has sounded mundane to me, but there's got to be something good that hasn't come to my attention yet.

>all trash
Confirmed stupid

Literally everything, none of those albums are best in their class.

>50s: Only correct choice
oh to be young and pleb again...

Fuck, I fucked up, 60's is In a Silent Way. Not sure why I forgot that. Also, as far as the 50's go, the best thing I've heard out of that decade is probably, as most people in this thread seem to agree Kind of Blue, and even that doesn't come anywhere near In a Silent Way. Astral Weeks is cool too, though.

Ornette Coleman's The Shape of Jazz to Come, newfag.
Thelonious Monk's Monk's Dream, newfag.
Not to mention the classical music.

You sound too upset for what provoked you.

See the problem is that they think they're some kind of music expert when in fact they're just an idiot

all of them should be changed

2010s: Ravedeath
2000s: Lift Yr Skinny Fists
1990s: Soundtracks for the Blind
1980s: The Ascension
1970s: Future Days
1960s: Trout Mask Replica
1950s: a classical recording

70s: Swap DSOTM with Blood on the Tracks

90s: Swap out OKC with Loveless

10s: MBDTF for TPAB

have you listened to anything from the 70s? Some very essential stuff is Television, Patti Smith, Joy Division, Bowie, The Clash, Can

>I called him Reddit that'll show him for having a different opinion through virtual signalling

the world didn't end you fucking retard

Which Television album would you recommend

>70s - Bowie - Low or Heroes

In general this is wrong as fuck but that's just off the top of my head.

i'd probably put sgt peppers in for the 60s and blurryface for the 2010s

But we already did that in the OP

1950s - Bo Diddley s/t

1960s - Trout Mask Replica. Not kidding.

1970s - London Calling

1980s - Daydream Nation

1990s - Loveless

2000s - Agree with Kid A thus far

2010s - Haven't decided. Certainly not MBDTF.

best one itt

These posts are the ones that have generally good taste with a few caveats.

60s was ITCOTCK and 70s was Wish You Were Here, if you disagree ur a faget

you're just a newfag

Only reasonable choices are 50s and 60s: there are many better albums than the ones you picked for the other decades. Also, the 60s should be a jazz album, too.

Better choices for the other decades:
