Words can only have value if they're rapped rather than sung?

rap tends to be more technical in terms of lyrics. as a result, it adds the overall experience of a song. someone the other day posted a link to this video, and I think it will better explain it.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, I still think it's extreme to say that hip hop is totally unique in the value it gives to lyrics.
