>fresh acquired on slsk try googling the album by adding "vk", somehow those Russians often have an early leak + stream up, that's how I got Masks
Dominic Williams
me
I'm hoping to have a physical out of my current project within the year. I've talked to a label recently but if that doesn't materialize I'll do a small run myself.
I have 3 full lengths I've recorded under other names, only the first of which is released. I like it enough not to actively distance myself from it but it's not representative of what i can do or want to.
> Ok /noise/, I had this argument 15 min ago: I'm this thread too faggot. There's no escape.
It's shit.
Juan Robinson
Do you hate all noise or this album specifically? If first, your opinion doesn't mean anything as you're not able to distinguish between good and bad noise. If latter, suggest a better release and explain why you think it is.
Ayden Hughes
Give me some noise that you enjoy then fag. For me, Prurient's last was nice.
Joshua Reyes
>Prurient lol that bro-industrial dude
Jacob Ward
>Do you hate all noise All of the stuff that has been posted here that is critic lauded. There have been some projects posted by Sup Forums users that were good, but all of the good ones had replies saying "this isn't noise". >or this album specifically? If first, your opinion doesn't mean anything as you're not able to distinguish between good and bad noise Emperor's new clothes bullshit. Pull your head out of your ass and your ears might be able to distinguish something that's actually music.
Alexander Sanders
Depends on what release your talking to. Last one was more power noise than harsh noise. That's why I found it refreshing.
Julian Lopez
get out
Thomas Ramirez
Oh, are you that old fuck who has his own studio? Stop repeating yourself as you might become just another meme. Just telling me that I'm wrong for enjoying something you don't get won't win me over.
David Smith
Dom is faggot who knows that anything he'll release will sell. I remember, in 2005 seeing him live in the audience of less than 30. Now hipster faggots have hopped on and his shows sell out.
Nicholas Gutierrez
That's an interesting observation, let's discuss: a) does it make his releases bad? b) who's to blame, him or the hipsters who found out about him?
Thomas Phillips
>Waaah this artist is popular that means his work is objectively shit
Maybe the shares will return. But I feel no one ever used the pastebin for shares ever.
That said, I will add the books at least, thats important.
Cooper White
well i did back when i was looking for quality v0 rips of death industrial and c.c.c.c. (although you upped these later)
Matthew Myers
Releases aren't bad per-say, but I didn't enjoy FNF that much, before that the last thing I bought was the Oxidation cassettes. Mid-to-late 2000s was my favorite "era" of material. I have a few rare ones like Golden Swastika and The Golden Chamber. I haven't listened to his last CS and I don't do shitty mp3s.
To blame is the trend-hopping hipsters, yes.
Sebastian Moore
>I have a few rare ones like Golden Swastika lmao nice try
Isaiah Collins
>I have a few rare ones like Golden Swastika
no kidding? what's it sound like? some people who've heard it say it's some of the rawest shit he's ever done
it's not out of the question if he's living in NYC/lived in NYC at the time
Blake Hill
well, he hit a nerve by expanding the brand of his label by including moody techno releases (and also starting with Vatican Shadow) I personally know people who're usually into bleep and pick anything up which gets published by Hospital, so Dom got it somewhat coming I'd say. otherwise he would get way less attention by these surface level-noise fans
Brandon Gray
>Stop repeating yourself Come on dude, you jumped threads to try avoid the discussion.
Anyway, I have said this stuff more than once, I'll give it a rest.
William Hughes
To tell you the truth it sounds like his usual feedback crunching noise/power electronics. Very good stuff
Me and Boyd used to be pen pals! what a great guy.
Nicholas Williams
I literally just started posting an hour ago when I saw there's a new general. The few posts I saw in the other bait-thread didn't make me want to comment, so I don't know of any discussion you might have.
Christian Robinson
since when has dark ambient been considered Noise?
Lucas Gray
I agree, there are some stupid picks in the mega-folder, who did this? But generally speaking there are some artists who incorporate noise in their dark ambient or the other way around so I see how it kinda counts.
Jordan Morales
this thread is for noise, pe/death industrial, dark ambient and first wave industria
What other artists put as much emphasis on multimedia and concept as Fernow?
I always liked how he insisted Prurient is a collage project that just happens to use music.
Levi Ross
GX Jupitter-Larsen, Kevin Drumm, John Wiese are some obvious mentions, if we're staying in the US
Jordan Parker
>GX Jupitter-Larsen Oh, for sure! What a hero.
>Kevin Drumm I still need to listen to his work more. I have Relief and Imperial Distortion, but never paid them much attention for some reason.
>John Wiese Really? He always struck me as pure audioporn, and I've heard a lot from him. Perhaps I'm missing something; I know he hero-worships GX and The Haters, though. Still need to check out the book that came out through Helicopter.
Liam Hernandez
Greh Holger as well, seeing as he runs in the same circles as Wiese and Larsen.
Dylan Phillips
Hey guys, listen to my project. I need some opinions
I remember you were one of the first bandcamp artists I saw posting here back in 2014 when it was still encouraged here. I'd bookmarked your page because your aesthetic and project title seemed interesting, but never got around to listening. Listening to Vol. VIII right now and enjoying it. I'm a big fan of low droney stuff. One comment I can make is that it seems a bit 'empty' if that makes any sense. I think it would benefit from more stuff going on in the background. Some higher frequencies come in, but don't really last. I just recently released something for my own project as well if you want to check it out.
Posted a couple of other times, but didn't really get any responses. Last time I'll post it since I don't want to seem like I'm spamming it and these threads don't seem so alive anymore.
Isaac Sanders
>Posted a couple of other times, but didn't really get any responses. Last time I'll post it since I don't want to seem like I'm spamming it and these threads don't seem so alive anymore. I don't think these threads get enough (non troll) posters.
Just post it in the bandcamp thread. As long as you tell them what genre to expect, if they like noise they'll listen.
Colton Perez
Thank you, we stoped recording and playing live, because people on our town started to notice us. Yeah, the recordings are all improvised, so sometimes they get good, sometimes are full of shit. Listening to your stuff, droney stuff. Gonna download it.
I don't like those bandcamp threads, nobody looks noise in there.
Jayden James
I think it's just that people aren't bothering anymore. I feel like most of the people who did come here before are just lurking because there's just no discussion to be had. And yeah, I posted in the bandcamp thread a little earlier but it seems more about posting than discussing.
Thanks for listening. This release itself is for the most part made up of improv sessions that I touched up over the last few months. I could tell your track was improv, which is something I think is neat when listening to other people's work.
Carter Mitchell
Hey. I'm feeling horrible and I cant tell what's real or not but I'll give you a link to an album I made "recently". Technically most of the album is ambient, just give feedback to the last three tracks (Alien Sights), if you want to windowlistener.bandcamp.com/album/clairvoyance-alien-sights
Grayson Wright
I like it. Very inorganic and relaxing to listen to at times. You make good use of the sound sources you utilize. My least favorite is Undesirable Host, as I think there could be a lot more going on than you have currently.
Nolan Smith
Also, my favorite is Hiveminds and Cacophanies. Reminds me of Muslimgauze's Azzazin.
Wyatt Gutierrez
>Very inorganic Definitely, all of the tracks were made to have a "foreign" or "alien" sound. I can see why you don't like Undesirable Host though. It's basically just a track I found while on my computer, since I didn't know what to expect when clicking on it I was blown away, so I just put it on since it fit the theme of a foreign sound
Ian Foster
What are some /noise/ approved horror movies? I have to find something that scares me for once.
David Richardson
>What are some /noise/ approved horror movies? Noise thinks the best type of movies are when you take an old analogue TV and set it to sweep the band constantly so you get static for most of the time and a few snippets of TV. Also any TV must be sent through a trails filter so it looks like an acid trip or something.
Parts of the recording must be so bright they could possibly hurt the viewers eyes.
