Music Iceberg Thread

post 'em

I'm at level 6, and so are probably all of you.

I'm actually 4.5, I've been here for about 1 year

speak for yourself embryo I'm infinite

The problem with this, is that field recordings honestly aren't that difficult to get into.

Not all field recordings are interviews of molestation victims. Plenty of people listen to ambient rainforest or ocean sounds.

None of my friends (all of whom have been going on Sup Forums longer than I have) know what Musique Concrete is.

Feels patrician

Yeah you're right. It's mainly associated within the more experimental and avant-garde types of music because 3deep5u

>harsh noise not at the bottom
Field recordings and gaza strip are easier to listen to than that shit.

who the fuck listens to harsh noise unironically?

>Robert Downey, Sr. that low

He's a cult filmmaker. Should be lynch tier at the most.

Level ∞, although you're not setting the bar very high.

underrated post

>being this pleb

>Brakhage
>level 2

Nigga what the fuck

I like to challenge myself when I listen to music

I'd say a mix of 3 and up

yeah I would put him at level 1 but his work in the 50s is pretty transgressive

What's some essential Gaza Strip music?

muslimgauze

...

I switch between each level.

I usually stay at level 3 or 4, post-punk, prog, and krautrock are my favorite genres on the chart.

I don't know why people spread this meme. Listening to certain types of music, regardless of how strange they are, doesn't make you fundamentally different from other people.

but what really is 'music' without an originating source, via acousmatic sound?

Level 4, though my favorite band is level 2.

Nigga stfu

I like IDM, experimental, and drone, but I also like rap and r&b. Where does that put me?

...

>Not all field recordings are interviews of molestation victims
jesus christ

because it's funny

I thought people were kidding when they spoke of Sup Forums plebs invading this board until now

When I was 16 Truffaut and Tarkovsky were my favorites

yessir u r patrician bcoz you found it first experimental filmmaker

I don't give a shit, if I wanted to talk about film I'd talk to one of my friends who are heavily into it not some pleb who can't even remember what board he's on

Who /level 4/ here?

dude holy sh*t brekhage is so weird omg where's the characters and dialogue o__O wtf silent?

no, it isn't

You've been around too many avant teens. Most normies think Wes Anderson is too weird for their tastes.

I put him on the second tier below mainstream directors

>tfw level 4 but also have a 5 thousand song eurobeat collection
