i listened to verdi's "rigoletto" opera for the first time last night and was enthralled from start to finish. listening to it again now and getting comfy

what are your favorite operas Sup Forums ?

what do you think of handel's julius caesar btw cuz i'm prolly gonna listen to that later if i have time

Here we see how a Sup Forumscore fag who made threads about fugazi & HANL has been turned into an avant-teen.

Aren't operas for little girls?

The best opera in my opinion is Wagner's Tristan und Isolde.

ATTENTION EVERYONE:

The original poster of this thread is Salvatore Modica also known as Xusosis. He is well known for murdering his big brother John Modica and constantly ban evading to spam the board.

Recently he has been getting high and intentionally overfeeding his cat Katie. He thinks fat cats are funny, but Katie is suffering immensely. She is diabetic, needs insulin shots and has knee problems.

Please report Sal to the ASPCA for animal cruelty. You might hate this Soprano's reject, but please think of poor Katie.

Thanks for reading and don't forget to report Sal's shitposts.

There are few operas I've sat/listened through in entirety.
Tristan und Isolde and Freischutz are them.
>what do you think of handel's julius caesar
Only saw one scene from it in music history class but it seemed like a good opera.

just stick with unwound salvatore, you're too stupid to understand art music

>Soprano's reject
Kek

verdi and wagner have nothing to do with the avant-garde so u make no sense
have you ever been to an opera house
i like the architecture of various famous opera houses
that's a bad attitude and i hope you aren't consistent with it

I saw Madam Butterfly a few nights ago. I was a little disappointed.
I'm the Wagner user btw, in case you're wondering what operas I do like.

What are some other worthwhile operas? Is Pierrot Lunaire any good (if that counts as an opera)?

who the fuck is this guy?????

I can't stand opera usually. The most I've enjoyed is probably Aida, Salome, and Carmen. But usually I'm not in the mood for it.

good quads
i mean his standalone music, which should be obvious

Wagner is indeed avant garde Sal. Tristan und Isolde is clrealry a benchmark for the start of modern classical. It influenced the likes of Mahler and Schoenberg.
Avant garde isn't a music genre, it just means you made something new and unique at any given time period.

Sal doesn't know what he's on about
Btw

yea i know, i'm speaking in relation to w/e that one user was trying to say

What was he trying to say?
Alternatively: what are you trying to say?

My favourite Verdi Opera is the Nabucco, check it out Sal

avant-teen is something usually said in reference to 20th century classical
or at least that's how i think it goes
