You can use python in the terminal you autist

fpbp
Python is the only calculator you need.

> Not using the superior irb

Git gud

Yeah, no.

>Granny using KRunner as a calculator
What could go wrong?

Attached: kek_krunner.png (1920x1080, 176K)

>that window animation
o.O

>wobbly windows
stupid fucking churka

I don't know which is worse,
>the tab tree cutting into your already limited horizontal space (albeit not important for Sup Forums)
or
>requiring that many tabs open instead of using the thread watcher

Literally nothing would happen, partly because your command is shit.
But even if you ran "rm -rf /" in KRunner nothing at all would happen.

wouldn't it at worst delete all the files of the user than ran it/has permissions to?

Nope.

Sounds to me like the command ain't doing its job then.

Without root you can't do shit on /
well, unless you created files or catalogs on / that you (and not root) own, but that's extremely retarded.

Isn't that what the -r flag is for? It'll error a lot sure, but it'll eventually maybe find something the user has permissions to delete.

It is, but rm has failsafes if run on / specifically
user@shitbox:~$ rm -rf /
rm: it is dangerous to operate recursively on '/'
rm: use --no-preserve-root to override this failsafe
So technically you could fuck up your ~, but there's no way you could do it accidentally like implies.

>So technically you could fuck up your ~
Why not just include a normal calculator for granny then? ain't that easier? why KTards hate granny so much?

Xorg already comes with the only calculator you'll ever need

Attached: 1493584426409.png (240x424, 4K)

I like how you conveniently omitted the rest of the post.

>Well Granny, I'm sorry but your faggot ass didn't make backups. Novice mistake but now you know for next time bitch. Welcome to GNU+Linux.

I like you how you can't justify KTards not including a calculator for granny
That is why granny needs a normal calculator

>That is why granny needs a normal calculator
Just use xcalc it works. It's not like granny needs anything more than a scientific calculator

No, this is why Granny needs to wise the fuck up.

Looks neat. What toolkit does it use?

I hope you realize 99% of people using KDE or Linux in general are not grannies.
If you indeed are in the 1% you can install a traditional calculator from the store. What is your problem?

>wanting bloat

It's a standard X widget. It doesn't use GTK or whatever if that's what you're asking.

Good. Bundled calculators are often complete crap. bc, qalc, and graphical applications similar to soulver does a much better job. They don't have to be crap, but most are skeuomorphic, and they're an absolute chore to use. scripting shells are also much better calculators than skeuomorphic and bundled calculators.

>Those tiny littler numbers
poor granny can't see those small numbers, xcalc is useless for her
if KTards don't like granny then they deserve to be the less popular DE, lucky her, there is GNOME
that's is why KDE is not the standard Linux DE like GNOME.

>b-but my granny needs her calculator with bug numbers!!
you footfags are hilarious

>a GNOME fan in this day and age
How's your filepicker?

He is a retard that doesn't know how to install software thats why he needs everything installed by default

>you footfags are hilarious
xcalc was fine in a 640x480 resolution, with actual resolutions is useless
GNOME has a file picker or simple drag and drop from Nautilus

There’s even a simple calculator widget for the taskbar that even a granny can use that already comes with KDE by default.

So hard to find, why KTards can't make things more intuitive for granny?

>Not using cli matlab
Are you dumb, poor or both?

Attached: file picker meme.png (864x609, 59K)

My granny likes thumbnails in the file picker and desktop icons

she also likes a calculator

My granny has a hard time launching apps without desktop icons. Why are they so hard to find on Gnome?

Whats easier patching GTK or installing a calculator?

>itt: bunch of faggots argue over pointless shit using grannies as a main argument

using Nautilus with drag an drop, waaay easier for granny
granny just types the name of the program and if she types "calculator" in GNOME then magictly appears, but in KDE she can't find it

>using Nautilus with drag an drop, waaay easier for granny
No its not you fucking retard.
Faggots like you defending GNOME's terrible design decisions is why it will always be garbage.

i don't how to make tabs width smaller, i will be happy if you tell me. By the way don't recommendautohide, i ficking hate autohide.

Not bad, i can live with it.

>No its not you fucking retard.
You mad bro?

>español
>pyccкий
Where are you from?

That's about what I expected from someone who can't even install a calculator you should use a tripcode.

i'm russian, i just fucked up locale, when i was installing arch.

the chad trilocale

He has it up WAY too high.
I like having it on, but turning it down nearly all the way. It makes rearranging windows more intuitive without looking faggy.

My granny already has Alzheimer, so she simply can't deal with a DE that also has memory leaks.

Gnome is a no deal.
fossbytes.com/gnome-3-26-memory-leak-issue-no-fix-ubuntu-18-04/

Is even worse not to include a calculator in your own distro like KTards do, that lack of common sense is ridiculous

THE ABSOLUTE STATE OF KDE

Attached: What the fuck KDE .webm (1280x1024, 2.4M)

Then Krap DE is definitively not for granny

Attached: kde_sucks.png (1920x1080, 676K)

>not using octave
fuck off matlab shill

THE ABSOLUTE STATE OF NVIDIA

>thread watcher
>opening and closing tabs all the time
found the RAMlet

Plasma using ~110mb

pretty good.

>opening and closing
What? One tab son.

Attached: firefox_2018-03-26_12-47-17.png (371x461, 23K)

But granny can't read PDFs, cause OKular will leak like crazy and crash her PC

that's why granny should delete that pile of shit and install qpdfview

Well, she can't read PDFs, but at least she can use the DE to browse the internet and other stuff.

With Gnome she can't do shit. She cries whenever she opens the System Monitor, sees the memory leakage and have glimpses of her Alzheimer. It's sad.

the irony is KTards including garbage like Okular in their own distro but not including something as basic like a calculator, they have zero common sense

who needs calculators anymore, computers do all the math for us silly

yeah enjoy having to put float() around every variable retard

Attached: fit what.png (662x413, 76K)

wrong, granny never worries about using the system monitor cause she is not a NEET who only play mame roms like most of KTards around here who only purpose in life is to stare at the ram usage

>who needs calculators anymore
granny

>sit in front of a computer capable of evaluating arbitrarily complex expressions
>need a program emulating clunky interface of an inferior device capable of doing one operation at a time
>wish there were KAbacus, KSlideRule, KRotaryDial and KClayTablet

Attached: k.png (428x219, 21K)

See

Matlab is for pajeet engineers

>muh granny is tech savvy enough to pick and install a linux distro for power users, but not enough to install a shitty calculator
Sounds more like brain damage than an age problem desu.

what can I say, granny has autism

>I often accidentally type "rm -r /" when I mean to type "12+7"
Disable shell commands in krunner, avoid terminal like a plague, and seek medical help.

Attached: Screenshot_20180326_195419.png (580x522, 64K)

>She cries whenever she opens the System Monitor, sees the memory leakage and have glimpses of her Alzheimer. It's sad.
Dude what the hell

Why can't KTards just include a normal calculator?

why should i care.

Because unlike a decent file picker or desktop icons, a calculator is:
1) obsolete
2) needed by 0.01% of users
3) possible to install manually.
hth.

Matlab is pure fucking cancer.

>1) obsolete
totally bs
>2) needed by 0.01% of users
bs too, unleast you are a NEET alergic to productivity
>3) possible to install manually.
But what if granny is offline?

~  echo $((5+2))
7
~  echo $((5**2))
25
~  echo $((5+3))
8
~  echo $((5**3))
125

>Press dedicated calculator key on keyboard
>Swiftly punch in your calculation on the numpad
>Numpad Enter, result

Can you get a bigger rush without opening excel?

CloverOS comes with a compiler ;)

Attached: 2018-03-27-034741_1366x768_scrot.png (1366x768, 593K)

why would anyone need a calculator on their computer?
why not just use your phone?
anything complex might as well go to wolfram alpha

GNOME has been less popular than XFCE since GNOME 3 was launched, fuck off with your delusions Red Hat poojet

>Wasting a whole key for opening the calculator
>anything complex might as well go to wolfram alpha
>Not using maple

this
cio.com/article/2881172/survey-says-kde-plasma-is-the-most-popular-desktop-linux-environment.html

first quote was supposed to be

>Less popular
>Is the default DE in the main distros
>but muh poll says..
Ewww lad

>Using a DE in the first place
Absolutely Disgusting.

Well there's KCalc, first KDE calculator that comes into mind

>Is the default DE in the main distros
>still less popular than xfce
I'm not sure you realize, but this means people specifically go out of their way and install something else.
This really doesn't help your case.

>being this cucked about it.
I was the kcalc poster last thread and you've just gone too far user.

Who literally cares if the demo iso for the latest KDE doesn't have a calc.
Did anyone care about the packages on ELIVE or Compiz-Fusion distros?

>Who literally cares
15 anons in this thread care enough to post

it automatically changes results into a float if it has decimals

I need my calculator for my benchmarks

OP is a retard

he stays on Sup Forums 24/7 to defend Gnome and bash KDE
I bet he must reboot his system quite often due to the memory leak of GNOME tho
