Sup Sup Forums, got a quick question about ncmpcpp. I've used it as my daily for a few years, but finally moved my music files to my HDD, and my distro is installed on my SSD. For some reason, when I change my mpd and ncmpcpp music directory location configs to my HDD, none of my music is recognized or found. Is it because mpd or ncmpcpp don't have the right to access my HDD somehow? Has anyone else had this problem?
I've been stuck using lollypop sadly, which is okay as far as GUI goes but I prefer mpd clients infinitely more. Tits for attention.

I used to use a player that would load your entire library up much like foobar in pic related but it was someone's project, it had a simple spectrum analyser and not many other features I can't remember the name of it and I sure as hell can't find it.

make sure you actually put the correct music directory in mpd and ncmpcpp configs, and then you have to remove and recreate your mpd database file

Thanks user, deleting the mpd folder in .mpd and then double-clicking mpd.db fixed the problem. You're a godsend.

Foobar reporting in, win7, columns UI. The plugin is so old I have to actually kind of hack it in, it's not the normal one. I also only recently added the albums column. Before it was pure artist->track, but I did need the album selector after a while.

i dunno why it should be the best but i can think of a few reasons why it's the worst. it's sluggish as fuck with big libraries. starting clementine with a 600gb library took around 30 seconds on my toaster which is completely unacceptable
only having one library at a time is also pretty dumb. i don't like my music mixed with audiobooks in the same library. even winamp supports multiple libraries ffs

Quite a basic setup. I don't even know how you're supposed to get cool skins for foobar. One method I saw was extremely complicated. There was a literal pdf file with 10 pages detailing all the steps.

They are playlists made by dragging a folder to the list.
So they are both.
The only good playlist is a folder based one, not an iDv3 tag(META file) one.
All songs are sorted in the same way they are sorted in Windows for maximum logical position.
