macOS
/thread unironically. Or Aqua if you're autistic about naming.
aqua
sorry but macos looks pretty good
its definitely osx
KDE
>freakishly large clock
>app widgets open a separate xp style window on the task bar
kde is one of the worst looking DEs
budgie is the one true answer
out of the box, probably OSX, but the icons it has right now look worse than your picture.
After rice, most linux desktop look and can do a million times more cool shit than OSX.
MacOS, before it gone flat and gay.
Any well riced tiling wm will always look better and be more practical than a DE.
B E V E L S
Bevels.
Apples are fruit
It doesn't even include a calculator
There are some things I like about Gnome aesthetics but at the end of the day, it's a tablet UI design and not a desktop oriented one.
openbox of course
Even flat & gay Aqua looks better than most DEs.
macOS
ubuntu
/thread
elementary OS
What de is pic related?
for productive get shit done stuff? macOS
for ricing? i3-gaps
obviously ms bob
XFCE
literally anything with window shading
What os is that and how you customized it???
Definitely MacOS/aqua unless you are autistic then probably a tiling WM.
LGR? Is that you?

is it uncommon to seriously dislike Aqua? I never enjoyed it in the slightest. From where I'm sitting, it feels like shills(Partly because almost everybody is saying "macOS" rather than Aqua or mac or anything.) but i think that's just conspiracy.
Tiling WM. i3, awesomeWM, whatever - take your pick.
No random icons (except maybe tiny ones in the notifications area), no crap. Just a clean desktop with simple windows.
plasma
it does have it.
Yeah, it's rather uncommon for someone disliking Aqua. Despite their shitty hardwares, the OS actually looks beautiful.
The bottom panel looks terrible. App dock or whatever it's called.
Gnome :3
KDE shills can hate on it all they want, but it's stable af.
Budgie
blyat
Plasma, footfags can foot off
I dont hate it, I just dont think its as good looking as kde. Stable wasnt the question either.
Unity
>mfw it's dead and everything else is worse
Might just bite the bullet and go full WM.
mint
I like icon docks, they stay clean and usable even when you have like 20 programs open. The old way just stacks shrinking tiles next to each other until they are hard to select or distinguish. I use Cinnamon which didn't have an icon dock so I just removed the tile thing from the panel and installed Docky. It's not how the DE normally looks like so I don't know if it counts, but it's pretty easy to do.
>BunsenLabs
Ma dude
Windows 10.
>does it let you open executables quickly
>does it provide file/folder symlink interface
>does it let you write your own code into its menus easily
>is it not gnome
>does it have thumbnails
>and no registry-hive system at all
Could you provide answers for first three questions?
Last three questions are the same to be honest
Budgie easily. everyone who says something else is richarded
FVWM2
I know I will get bashed for this, but disregarding the poor system performance, I think Vista Aero was the best looking UI ever.
>Disregarding performance
This user. Could not agree more
What i KCalc? what i KRunner? footfag..
Not a single post about windows xp? Sad!
Ubuntu 16.04 will be supported until 2021, user. Alternatively, if you want shiny new stuff, check github.com
I agree user.
Pantheon, GNOME (customized to be more Pantheon-ish) and KDE with new blur all look amazing to me. Imo the best looking out of the box is Pantheon, but that new KDE blur is sexy as fuck. It's like taking the best of Aero and Fluent, but free.
