I mean, there's not much depth to this. Preset piano VST, freeware reverb VST, and generic field recordings. The actual playing (guitar wise) is great but its clouded by the cliched depression aesthetic. I suggest that you drop all the angsty-teenager depression bullshit. Otherwise, great work on the vocals, guitar, and making the drumming sound semi-real.

Production is very clean but the guitars could be mixed a little higher. The vocals are great but I feel that they're mixed just a little too loudly. Also shoutsout to you guys for being from Lowell.

If this didn't have the Barbie soundtrack gimmick then this would just be run-of-the-mill vaporwave. I do like how lo-fi it sounds which adds to the atmosphere. Otherwise, this really isn't that interesting.

Almost Got Caught here.

Thanks for listening and for the comments! We purposely put the vocals in the front of the mix, I don't think it's overkill but I do hear where you're coming from!

This was my first trip to a professional studio so singing into a nice condenser mic took some getting used to.

We're already writing the second EP.

>freak folk, spoken word, anti-music, outsider

2.5 minute concept album about schizophrenia. Wrote, performed, recorded in about an hour and a half.

Other stuff on the bandcamp is stuff I have a hand in as well.
Machete Flame is hip-hop from our engineer and Steamy Memeys is a singer-songwriter/folk/spoken word group with my roommate.

Old recs:
Didn't get a chance to check new stuff in the last thread. I am home now, about to have a cookout for the holiday so I'll post until people start showing up.

I like the distortion in some of the tracks. I am a firm believer that 95% of beat tapes need vocal samples to be coherent. Just skimming through I see you have them. Some of the songs have more relevant melodies than others as well which makes some songs off putting in comparison.

A little bland I think, but very fun sounding. Could definitely see this song being on a mix for driving around. Production is nice.

I don't know enough about vaporwave to be real critical of this. Not for me though.

I think your vocals are well mixed for what you're going for. I like the melody too. Good stuff.

Not real big on ambient, but I'm a big fan of the album art. I like the textures on My Emporium.

I'm not using nice speakers at the moment but the drums sound kind of muddy to me. I like the droning guitar though. It really helps build on the song.

This was bizarrely entertaining.. What the FUCK lol

> Projekto Sendecida - Santa Fe, Argentina
> psychedelic, instrumental, first wave post rock

We have a brand new studio album called Projekto de Bombas, made in collaboration with Pradera de Bombas, a band we're friends with and share one member. So this is a different album for us.

projektosendecida.bandcamp.com/album/projekto-de-bombas
Check out also our other albums:

projektosendecida.bandcamp.com/music

projektosendecida.bandcamp.com/album/el-vac-o-del-gaucho
projektosendecida.bandcamp.com/album/zapadas-vol-2

El Vacio Del Gaucho (2015) was composed over several months and, while recorded 'live' (simultaneously) it has overdubs and some studio trickery.
Our jam albums Zapadas vol 1 and 2 are selections of completely raw recordings and 100% improvised music made just for fun but are pretty nice albums in themselves. Then there's the debut self titled album from 2012.

I totally liked this the other day. Subscribed to your facebook page. Looking forward to a full album

One of my favorite albums of last year, finally got the chance to see them perform live, ended up on the dancefloor with the vocallist during a different set, got him to sign my copy of this album. Really unique sounding, hard to describe. Gestalt is a standout track, and Perennial Departure was so unexpectedly awesome.

Not exactly music related, but to those of you who have commissioned album art from someone: who did you go to? What were their prices like?

Tbh I just look on eBay and etsy for outsider art. There's a surprising amount of great artists selling original stuff for cheap dosh

I too miss Lunar Eskimo

I like these fellows

huge props for repping son lux, I'm wearing one of their shirts right now

I actually don't use drugs at all.

check through tumblr and instagram for artists, some of them make lots of album art on request (i know lauren monger has done plenty) although i dont know how much she and other artists charge for that kind of stuff. you could try some other art sites like etsy and maybe even deviantart, but i dont know how things are there.

personally all of my album art is my own photography, i guess it sorta gives it a more personal feel when the art is made by me. maybe give it a try some day, you don't need any really good equipment, just some good places or good things to take pictures of.

I'm , and i suppose its ok to use deviantart and whatever just so long as you're commissioning the artist, not just stealing an already created image.

>pic related, probably my favorite work of mine. shameless plug: jz113 on deviantart :^)

Not posting music but looking for something that got posted in one of these threads a while ago.

It was a emo/lo-fi/acoustic (?) stuff and the album art looked like something shot from a film camera from a suburban house into the sunset. I think there was a title written overtop.

I think the band was also from Sydney.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

...

i laughed, its too true.

thanks! im glad you liked it

this is too funny for a bandcamp thread

I don't get it? The only reason I'm asking here is because I thought maybe one of the posters also liked it and would remember the link. I tried searching bandcamp and found nothing.

the joke is that bandcamp is extremely full of exactly what you described

you could try searching the archive, look through all the bandcamp threads, probably your best choice.

Found this like a year ago in one of these threads. What ever happened to this guy and Lunar Eskimo?
