Idol trash here.
What's your setup like, user
Good op.
Adorable cat.

They're fucking shit as a company now. What they did was take the he400 and turn it into the he400i, he560, sundara, etc at around $500. Then took the he6, their good headphone, and started selling comparable headphones at like $2k+. Straight NVidia tactics.
Whole fucking headphone industry is doing it now, charging ridiculous prices for their good stuff. HD820, HE1000, the new lcd4, etc. The only ones not doing are beyer who instead chose to release a dt990 revision at $600.

>While this material is somewhat different than graphene proper, the Kickstarter page has some great technical information including measurements of the diaphragm performance. I found many similarities between my measurements of the 1More Triple Driver Over-Ear Headphone and measurements of the Ora headphone.

Shitty graphene over mylar already has this much improvement. Just imagine how much the Ora pure graphene driver headphones are gonna shit on the headphones you overpaid for B)

It's not like Focal, Fostex, Koss, ZMF, and a shit ton of others have tried "dynamic driver b-b-but with a new material!!!". This one's gonna be the one for sure guys.

>Just imagine how much the Ora pure graphene driver headphones are gonna shit on the headphones you overpaid for
the reality is I'm going to wait until said "overpriced" models come out, buy them and then continue to be smug while I look down at you and history will repeat itself

But, user, Sennheiser are selling HD600, the world's best headphones (driver matched, btw, unlike HD650/HD6XX), for $300.

I can't believe this is a $249 headphone. Sean Olive contends that there is little relationship between the price of a headphone and the quality of reproduction. I agree. Usually it's used as a damning criticism of expensive headphones that don't live up to their price tag. Fortunately the opposite is also true: There are headphones that punch well above their price tag. Such is the case with the 1More Triple Driver Over Ear Headphone.

You have it the other way around, dumdum! The HD 650s (And 6XXs) are all driver matched to 1db! As expected from absolute perfection (Obviously)

Accurate.

The Beyer T1 retails for $1,299.99

Can Tyll suck Sean Olive's cock any more? Tyll quite suddenly developed a subjective preference for Jamalbass the moment the Harman target research was published, as if a poorly-designed study had the magical ability to physically alter his ears.

$1k flagships are fine and have been a thing for a while. I'm talking about the ridiculously priced shit like the he1000, hd820, new lcd4, utopia, they're all over 2k.

reviews are pretty bullshit in general, loudness curves dictate that different people will listen at different volumes generating different signatures from the same headphone. your preferences change over time as well as your hearing ability.

And moreover, they all use deprecated magnet technology.

Why do my headphones seem to sound totally different depending on what volume I play them at?
What volume do reviewers use?

Correct.

well, ignoring the obvious estats (omega, orpheus) the mdr-r10 was $2.5k, understandable though. first driver of its kind.

Wow, worse than Ultrasone Edition 10. That's an accomplishment.

fletcher munson is why that happens.

I will limit myself to two burgers a day for a year. I promise you /hpg/, I will have an orpheus in two years or less.

you realize you can just make your own right? some dude on headfi beat the orpheus with his diy clone

Someone seems rattled that their headphones aren't TOTL and driver matched :^) (Obviously)

This would only be the case if the poster you are replying to was an HD650 owner.

accurate

Rude! As everybody knows, the HD 650s are driver matched to perfection! Only lesser headphones (Non-driver matched) will agree (Obviously)

Did you go to his house and try it for yourself? And what do you mean by beat it? Do you mean it sounds better? What does sound better even mean in regards to something as subjective as sound quality?

Attached: 1521942722007.jpg (699x485, 68K)

both subjectively based on auditions by reviewers and at events, and iirc measurably better too.

Very accurate post (As expected)

>the 600 shill is so mad he's not just manipulating and cherrypicking, he's also outright lying at this point

Attached: 1503761723484.jpg (897x869, 40K)

Most people prefer the hd650 stock anyway. It's just people spending too much time here.

600 shill will go night-night soon anyway

Idgaf, my modded he500 is still absolute 10/10 and from my experience by far the best sub-1k setup you can get.

Used Alpha Dog's a good buy at $300 usd?

Attached: c0575f8ca6b83fc40fc6810918ec1302.jpg (1280x1280, 186K)

that's fine, it's just a product after all.

Go for it

over priced T50RP

That's every headphone

Oh lawdy, not the exact same converation again. I'm not sure what's up with this nerd and his lack of short term memory (haha)

>in b4 cherrypicked RNG results

Not when HD600, the best headphones in the world, are also $300.

Silly user, those aren't even driver matched! Luckily, the best headphones mankind has to offer (HD 650s, as usual) also are! Too poor for that? The HD 6XXs would be just for you!

Attached: 1522210946371.png (600x400, 18K)

this post is accurate
this post is not

Did I mention they're only $200?

Can anyone suggest me a dac/amp with a mic in for about $100? Headphone is a Sennheiser Game One, which is basically a HD598 with a mic, if that's of any help.

Currently using a soundcard, Asus Xonar DG, but it's constantly giving me BSODs because the drivers are wonky on w10. Even if it were working properly, my new PC build won't have space for a sound card anyway.

this post is accurate
this post is not

Worth it?
I have a HD 650 + O2 amp and a realtek ALC887 on-board audio but i don't know if this could improve audio quality)

>HD 650
Should have bought HD600. They sound much better and have better driver matching according to objective data.

audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/review-and-measurements-of-topping-d10-dac.2470/
Take a look for yourself, seems quite nice

If your on-board audio is shit, it certainly could, but I can't guarantee that you would notice a big difference.

extremely truthful post

Ignore this silly user
He was simply hurt by his lack of driver matching. In fact, user's leading you astray from the TOTL headphones of mankind, which luckily, are also driver matched! (As expected from headphones such as these)

Ordered a set of these. Anything i should keep in mind these being my first set of wood headphones.

Attached: 001.jpg (600x400, 175K)

Congratulations too, as there are no other better headphones :)

I agree.

But how can you say for sure when each HD 600 driver is going to be different? The lack of driver matching really kills it sometimes, I have to admit

When each 600 earcup differs from the other earcup, it's really hard to tell what you're going to get. Driver matching really is a must, i'm afraid

Luckily, the HD 650s solve just that with perfect driver matching and TOTL sound! (Sorry for 3 posts)

HD 600 is the iPhone of headphones

The welfare queen's Cadillac, the epitome of just high end enough to make people feel good yet nothing special, most people don't see any value in it but you do because of the status symbol.

>been keeping an eye on topping d10 that was supposed to be discounted by 30%

Newbie here, what are some good headphones with active noisecancelling that are not 380 bucks? (my budget is more like under 150)

Also is bose mostly brand or are they worth their price?

If you think 90 bucks is worth for 1-5% better bass and treble go for it

Just recently broke my v-moda m100 cans, the left side is dangling on the cable.

What cans should i get next? I feel like the next cans i get should be bit bigger than those.
Im looking for something that sounds similar to the m100s but more robust in design

ordered a topping d10, hope I didn't get memed

bluedio from chinks. they are also on sale on chink sites now.

Discount was only 15%.

It's the best performing DAC for the price, if that's what you were looking for then you're not getting memed.

>he bought audio equipment without testing it first
this is how snake oil is sold

Will this improve sound quality ? No, most likely not.
Should you get it ? Maybe. The Topping D10 has very low jitter, noise floor and good linearity. At its price, it's a safe buy and it could be your end-game.

what the fuck
where from

fix them faggot

I got mine for £48 from eBay

Yes, eventually got it for 75 USD.

I don't have the equipment but I saw the measurements on audioscience and they looked good.

>Age of the internet

I'm in need of a new DAC. I was looking at the Topping D50 but I've seen people complaining about some hissing/noise issue, is that true ?

>Listen to m40x - reproduces music accurately

Explain this nonsense. Bass guitar on some tracks is completely different!
