Hey, Sup Forums, poorfag here. What's the best pair of headphones I can get with a budget of $50. I know not to expect anything too great, but I want the best for my money. I've been checking out these, are they as good as people make them out to be?

I see the monoprice shills are in full force today.

I've had a pair of these for about 5 years. The cable that is attached to the speaker itself started to short a couple years ago but usually I can wiggle it to make it work again. Besides that, they're pretty nice.
jeez louise these like twice the price on uk amazon
might just go with them then so I have a little extra money
Is this a decent amp? amazon.com
save like 50 more bucks and get some grados
Link doesn't work but also I don't have an amp for them fuck that gold cable bullshit.
You only need an amp for high impedance headphones. You mean a DAC, which for the headphones in your range won't make a difference, due to the design of these headphones you get a lot of cross talk in the headphones. Use the 50 dollar ones for a while, then when you are ready be prepared to spend around 200 for a better set up, then if you want to get a good planar set up be ready to spend about 700-900 bucks
Save up and get the HD 800. You won't regret it. Seriously.
You're going about getting headphones all wrong. Identify the need you have, where you want to use them, and your favorite genres. Cheap headphones tend to be really colored
>spending over $1000 on headphones
fucking bourgeoisie
Is the Audio Technica ath-m50x still good?
thanks user
dude those are $110
Yeah, they're still very good and now with detachable chords and slightly nicer cushions! So when they eventually fuck up from wear you can replace them.
These with the Fiio E10K were pretty standard here for a very long time
i am thinking of buying the m50x's but would i really need an amp (e.g. the fiio e10k) ?
is there a big difference of sound quality?
A big difference is debatable, to some no to others yes. I immediately felt a difference, but the E10K has two downsides, the mini usb cable is pretty bad so that is worth replacing and on mine when I moved the knob I got some static; not the biggest problem since I don't keep changing volume during songs. The best test for you might be to get the m50x's and try them without the amp/dac, if the sound qualty is better than what you had before then great and you can always get the e10k later or maybe splurge for something a little more high end. Also remember that your sound quality will only be as good as your weakest link, so bit rate and media player also have a role to play; other than that fuck the pretentious people and if you like the way it sounds that is all that matters
They're not over ears, but the best earphones for the money are Koss KSC 75s. $15 on Amazon. Sounds ridiculous but look them up on literally any forum and everyone will be raving about them.
They're raving about them because they're $15 you dip. He has $50 to spend; he can afford better.
check out marleys they're very cheap and you look like a stoner fag everywhere you go. Also made with hemp
Alright, I did some research and went with Superlux HD681 EVOs, did I fuck up or was it a good decision?
They're semi open so they will lead more sound than a closed back; might be an issue when listening to music outside of the house as it will disturb others and you will hear more of your surrounding sound
Sorry looked at the wrong specs, they are closed back ignore all I said
even if that were true I'm probably going to use my current pair of crappy pair of Sony MDR E9LP ones, they may suck but they're sturdy motherfuckers
*going to use in public
dude you should've just gone with the 50 dollar ones
not OP but recently got new headphones
Is burning-in real or a crock of shit?
>bumping for answer
It's a meme. It might possibly maybe work if your headphones have moving parts that might fall into place after a while but generally speaking burn-in is a total meme.
burning in just means your ears got used to it
thanks user
this. and or the Porta Pro.
What are the best earphones for a decent price? I'm tired of relying on my apple earphones and I can't use headphones cause it fucks up my hair, and the in-ear ones are really uncomfortable for me. I used to have something like these way back when I was a kid but they were a gift and I can't afford that shit now.
is there anything better than beyerdynamics dt770 in the price range? considering upgrading from grado sr-60s
m40x is just as good if not better
Koss KSC75
