I heard bright eyes in 2006-2007 when they were more relevant to current trends. Everyones moved on. They're not obscure or unique, r/indieheads, they're just dated and semi forgotten.

fevers & mirrors is melodramatic nostalgia-core (but it does still sound good...it's just very angsty). if you didn't listen to them at all when you were a teenager I don't know if you'll enjoy
