terrible songwriter honestly. and she's cute but seems to insist on always having the dumbest cow-like blank face.

Not me so I don't care

Only good response to that post.

Listened to her album yesterday and it's p good. I like how she's influenced by Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance, plus the way that the album ends with a In Christ Alone cover

>builds tension by playing faster and louder

This is something every songwriter does, dumbass

Not true, there are a lot of different ways to build tension in a song. Playing louder and faster is a pretty good one though, especially if you're a solo artist and don't have the benefit of other instrument parts to do some of the more complicated tension-building tricks. Julien Baker is great.

>Influenced by Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance
If that's true I have lost a lot of respect
I assumed she was influenced by folk and Jeff Buckley type thing

fall out boys great tho

Probably one of my favorite all time DCFC songs and that cover was great. Why is she so amazing?

Is it summer vacation where you're from?

she does such a great job of stripping that song down without taking anything away from it. She's going to be doing an Elliot Smith cover soon too, which I'm really excited about.
