Maybe she got comfortable going at her own pace. I mean, she's old now, she's slowing down and probably doesn't have energy to go all WOOOOOAAAAOOWWWA anymore. Also family is always an excuse, unless there's an illness. She just wanted a break after being famous since 16.

I don't mind her going at her own pace but I think a decade between albums is kind of ridiculous. It's almost 6 years since her last album, which is about the gap between the couple albums before it too.

Also her last couple albums have been more ambient pop without the amount of vocals as her earlier albums so it's not like she needs to sing all that much.

Get Hounds of Love and go anywhere from there.

Am I the only one who thinks that 50 words For Snow is her best album?

It's the use of negative space. The silence in between the notes is meant to replicate the quietness when it's snowing. It kills me when I listen to it in the winter and it's dark outside at 6pm
