Rank AnCo Albums

I wanna see how all of Sup Forums rank AnCo's albums. I'm interested to get an idea of an average rating.

Here is mine:
10. Painting With - 4.5/10
9. Campfire Songs - 5.5/10
8. Here Comes The Indian - 6/10
7. Sung Tongs - 7/10
6. Strawberry Jam - 7/10
5. Danse Manatee - 7.5/10
4. Centipede Hz - 8/10
3. Feels - 8.5/10
2. Spirit They've Gone, Spirit They've Vanished - 8.5/10
1. Merriweather Post Pavillion - 9.5/10

OP will get 10+ replies stating he listed either CS or HCTI too low, and czh too high

>GOD
MPP, Spirits

>TOP
SJ, Feels, ST

>MID
HCTI, CS, CHZ

>LOW
PW, DM

anyone that ranks MPP as their best are ultra pleblords and do not deserve to have their opinion be taken seriously

Dw I was aware when I posted. As I say, i'm just interested to get a scope of opinions.

MPP is their greatest album. Deal with it you little contrarian baby.

>people who dislike muh watered down pop album are contrarians

>uses the term ultra pleblord unironically
>is not a contrarian

Thread derailed already. Someone maybe wanna post a list?

>maybe if i post it twice it will magically become true
MPP is awful, watered down pop shite and AnCo has never been able to recover from it

Sure

Feels = Sung Tongs = MPP = Strawberry Jam > STGSTV = Campfire Songs > HCTI > CHz > Painting With > Danse Manatee

Fall Be Kind > Prospect Hummer > Water Curses > People

MPP > Feels > Spirit > Strawberry Jam > Danse Manatee > CHz > Painting With > Sung Tongs > Here comes the Indian > Campfire Songs

That isnt even true and you know it. Calling it "watered-down pop shite" doesnt make it so.

>That isnt even true
it's literally just synthpop with too much reverb on everything

Hey, guy who hates MPP, how about you show us how much you hate it by posting your list :)

You can blow off any album with "its literally just x", that doesnt make it not great. Your mind has been poisoned by Sup Forums my friend, if went out into the real world you would see that MPP isnt nearly as accessible as you believe. And even if it was, that doesnt inherently make it bad.

ok
STGSTV = HCTI > Feels > Sung Tongs > Strawberry Jam > CHz > Campfire Songs > Danse Manatee > MPP > Painting With

Holy shit rofl
Why did i waste my time replying to you

>if went out into the real world you would see that MPP isnt nearly as accessible as you believe
pretty sure synthpop doesn't get any less accessible by throwing reverb on it

>all the pitchforks drones that think Danse Manatee and Painting With are shit

>Painting With
>anything but shit

my favorites are sung tongs, mpp, and painting with

Painting With was shit before the p4k score bro

The STGSTV is their best album meme killed AnCo threads. They used to be so good before people started shilling it everywhere.

Danse manatee is great , all of these lists are objectively false any anyone who doesn't think anco is the best band is objectively wrong

STGSTV - 8/10
DM - 6/10
CS - 5/10
HCTI - 7/10
ST - 7/10
Feels - 6/10
SJ - 9/10
MPP - 7/10
CHZ - 7/10
PW - 3/10

Are you gay

Spirit - 9/10
Danse - 9/10
Campfire - 8/10
Indian - 8.5/10
Sung tongs - 9.5/10
Feels - 9.5/10
Merry - 9.5/10
Chz - 7.5/10
Pw - 6/10

>Sup Forumsdrones are obsessed with 'experimental music'
>experimental folk-pop band put out an electro-pop album that's totally different to anything they've ever released
>lol pleb pop babbys why would you ruin the formula

I fucking hate a good 50% of this board and I'm not even a massive AnCo fan.

>experimental folk-pop
Also a band relesing something different to everything in their discography means nothing when the """"""new"""""" sound they debut is something that has been done a million other times

Experimental music for the sake of being experimental doesn't necessarily mean it is good.

I'd love for you to point out the million or so people who have written anything like 'On Delay' or 'Recycling'.

Whenever they release their next album, PW will get posthumously promoted to 'good tier' and everyone will shit on the newer release, exactly like what happened with CHz.

You faggots need to make your own minds up.

>I'd love for you to point out the million or so people who have written anything like 'On Delay' or 'Recycling'.
Recycling was literally just popified John Foxx and On Delay is just synthpop. if you want a list of artist that has done that look up a list on wikipedia or something

>1 terrible example and 1 genre

wow user

>lol it dosen't count because i say so
how is the example terrible
also 1 genre is a pretty wide example with a whole bunch of examples

PW wasn't their first pop album, ya dumbass

1. Feels
2. Sung Tongs
3. Merriweather
4. Strawberry Jam
5. Spirit
6. HCTI
7. Campfire Songs
8. Centipede Hz
9. Danse Manatee
10. Painting With

Painting With is a good pop album. Why does everyone hate it so much?

Spirit They're Gone > Hollinndagain > Sung Tongs >> Here Comes The Indian > ODDSAC > Merriweather Post Pavillion > Danse Manatee > Feels > Campfire Songs > Strawberry Jam >> Centipede Hz > Painting With

Spirit They're Gone: 9/10
Hollinndagain: 8/10
Danse Manatee: 7/10
Here Comes the Indian: 8/10
Campfire Songs: 7/10
Sung Tongs: 9/10
Feels: 7/10
Strawberry Jam: 6/10
Merriweather Post Pavillion: 7/10
ODDSAC: 7/10
Centipede Hz: 5/10
Painting With: 5/10

because they take reviews to the head and hate having fun

Yeah clearly everyone who dislikes what you like just are reiterating opinions of established reviews, even though OP's post has Danse Manatee at a 7.5. AnCo's worst reviewed album, and also has CHz at an 8.

>Every other post on Sup Forums talking shit about MPP

>At the top of every AnCo thread

This. Sung Tongs always gets shit on here.

The last song leaves a real bad taste in my mouth, starts better than it finishes imo,

spirits - 9/10
danse - 5/10
campfire - 6/10
here comes the indian - 9/10
sung tongs - 10/10
feels - 7/10
strawberry jam - 8/10
mpp - 10/10
chz - 6/10
pw - 7/10

10/10 means best anco album, not perfect 10/10 album

whaddid i done is fun thoughp, gets too much hate imo

I think a really cool, interesting thing about AnCo is how varied everyone's lists are.

Probably because of how varied their albums have been.
