for some it lives up to the hype, for others it doesn't
the most overrated of all time would have to be an album that's objectively shit but still has a lot of hype for whatever reason
>it's only good if I hear it on the radio
i thought it was ok, above average. i like folk sounding music. it wasnt what i thought it was going to be, judging by the hype around here.
How do you possibly derive something like that from user's post
>muh singles
The rest is as great as the singles, m8
Everyone ITT is wrong
This right here is
I bought it when it came out, saw them touring it. Pretty good record, but totally overrated. I wish they'd stop raping Cobain's corpse. He was a sack of shit BTW who hated his fans.
Don't really listen to it much anymore but Breed still gets me pumped when I hear it.

Everyone in this thread is wrong.
What a meme peme peme
any Radiohead/Beatles album is more overrated than that faggot
Nope
Most underrated milf of all time coming through.
first ever album to marry punk and melody so no, stop pretending to lie on the internet
its one of the greatest albums of all time and its songs still surpass the likes of anything decent that comes out today
we'll never get another kurt again
Real winner right here.
>first ever album to marry punk and melody
>first ever album to marry punk and melody
>we'll never get another kurt again
you bought into the hype son
This
>there are people on this board right now, that actually believe this
people falling for the bait
Everyone in this thread is wrong.
ah, i personally listened to it just recently after hearing the hype on mu for a couple of years and absolutely loved it
to each his own, right
>first ever album to marry punk and melody
> greentexting and not even trying to proving me wrong
cobain was truly the second coming of jesus and we fucked up - again
>the second comming of jesus
what the fuck? I mean he loved anton lavey, and abandoned his daughter
No, any beatles record is
> pick and choosing
he left her millions
>not liking thriller
on Sup Forums 5 years ago maybe but not in wider circles
It's overrated but despite that it's still a solid 8/10.
MBDTF however...
what good is millions without a father? Did you see her boyfriend?
he was obsessed with anton lavey and voodoo and probably used it to get famous like others
"get stoned and worship satan"-KC
trips confirm
Yes
> i'm arguing with people like this
she divorced him like 2 months ago, her entire fortune and wellbeing was provided by her father's hard work, he was edgy but that was obviously part of his aesthetic and how he wanted to be portrayed - go watch an interview or two instead of being so close minded
still havent been proven wrong
Nope
quads confirm
nah that's actually just really good youre just a pleb
>2016
>Still gore posting on the blue board
So using witchcraft to hex people and get fame is okay. I guess making out with half the guys in seattle is okay as well? Thats what courtney said
DO you not see that his daughter is fucked for life?
There are tons of other bands that married punk and melody you just know about nirvana and don't listen to any other music.
>Did you see her boyfriend?
I don't get why people keep saying this. First of all, her boyfriend doesn't look like Cobain, he has the same haircut and dresses the same way, that's it. Second, there's a tendency to be attracted to people that somewhat remind you of your parents.
No album will ever be as overrated as this.
>there's a tendency to be attracted to people that somewhat remind you of your parents.
yeah especially when they're not in their life. also she lists satan as one of her influences
there are other things I can say about cobain that will blow your mind but I wont because I don't want to ruin your little bubble
lol still haven't gotten other examples
I really pity you
>there are other things I can say about cobain that will blow your mind
You could probably tell him a few things that would blow-nevermind
I found it myself how about you?
Want to be spoon fed babby?
>still no example
>tries to meme his way through
No I'm not sharing music I like with a retard like yourself
go kick rocks kiddo
But there are no albums that are "objectively shit" because music is fucking subjective.
i guess arianna grande or paris hiltons albums are good?
kek get over it fag
...
That album is pretty damn overrated. Revolver is the most overrated album I have ever heard. I would have said Rubber Soul but I think people are starting to see through that one.
Revolver isn't necessarily the WORST acclaimed album or anything, just overrated because it's in the fucking TOP TEN albums EVER on a lot of lists. I'm sorry, but Revolver just isn't one of the ten best >30 minute compilations of music humans have ever made. That's fucking ridiculous.
Other Honorable Mentions from RYM top 100:
-Wu-Tang Clan: 36 Chambers
-Dummy by Portishead
-Blood on the Tracks by Bob Dylan
-Songs of Leonard Cohen
-Rubber Soul by the Beatles
-Kind of Blue by Miles Davis
-Liquid Swords by Genius/GZA
-Illmatic by Nas
-After the Gold Rush by Neil Young
-Odessey and Oracle by the Zombies
>muh complex music meme
fuck off m8
you really think they dedicated themselves to music and it came from their heart?
Fuck, are those tiny hands or a massive knee?
Well, I'm not him, but Sonic Youth is the obvious one but everybody knows that you'll just arbitrarily proclaim "HURRR NO IT'S NOT AN EXAMPLE CUZ (list arbitrary ass-pulled reason because the argument is about music and you can use 'muh subjectivity' to make up whatever you want)"
And what does
>combine punk with melody
mean in the first place? That it was the first song using certain instrumental methods to have variations in the notes, as if literal punk bands didn't have melody!?
And that's what's so funny about this, is that punk songs fucking have melodies to them so you can literally name punk bands that aren't perfectly monotone and you will be right. London Calling, Fire of Love, Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables, Zen Arcade, probably another thousand albums.
HURR NO ITS NOT AN EXAMPLE CUZ SONIC YOOTH NOT PUNK YOU DAMN GOOF
sorry meant to say marry punk and melody in such a #based fashion
those groups are peanuts compared to the behemoth that was Nirvana
>these groups are peanuts
so degrade other bands because nirvana was more popular?
thats what matters to you in music, popularity?
