went to see Peter Brötzmann with Heather Leigh on pedal steel. I went into it thinking he was an amelodic player - but he's extremely melodic.

Rob?

Wait how?

I was going to Swans in Boston, but now I can't

Saw mewithoutYou open for Say Anything. Say Anything fucking blows and the crowd was entirely dudebros.

went to see Baroness, 6/2 in San Francisco

Killer show!

possibly going to see dinosaur jr. in portland this september, pretty excited

i went to this amazing concert in northern VA lst decamber at a place called Eaglebank arena, lot of alternative rock bands. shit was pretty cash

Upcoming is Echo & The Bunnymen in Bristol next month

NOFX in August which was great, shit got posted on TMZ and shit because fat mike offered a guy $100 to leave the show for wearing tie dye and then gave him $20 for his shirt youtube.com/watch?v=M433pLwOH2Y

Wow, that's a pretty good one. Where?

My buddy said he's buying me a ween ticket. not sure if he did though lol

Going to be playing at a festival next month though, so I guess that'll be the next concert I see.

Saw Steve Hackett in Durham in April, it was fantastic

Hopefully I'll see Animal Collective this November in Richmond and I might see Anderson Rabin Wakeman if their set is good.

I saw smashmouth a couple days ago

Hmph, it's been a while, last show I went to was pic related?

Why?

Why won't Ween just do a normal tour holy fuck

They're not playing anywhere near me except for Lockn festival and that has a shit lineup

what's he pointing at? i hate when people do that. like what does it even mean?

he's pointing at us

I got a few coming up
Intronaut, Paul McCartney, Jeff Beck/Buddy Guy, and Black Sabbath

Last gig was Brian Wilson which was great. Came away loving Pet Sounds even more.

Next gig is Meet Me In St Louis in about two weeks. They're one of my favourite bands that I figured would never reunite because who'd care but me. Really excited.

going to see Tyler, The Creator tomorrow, don't really like him but my friends want me to go so why not.

Al Di Meola, june 16th, California

Just saw Whitehorse, Tokyo Police Club, Alvvays, New Pornographers, and Hey! Rosetta at the CBC Music Fest

Mostly went for Alvvays but the rest of the bands were great too

>tfw no Slint tour
>tfw didn't know who they were when they were touring a couple years ago

Is there any hope or is Dave too fucked up

Considering going to see Ween in August, but it looks it's going to be at a shit festival. Is it worth it? I don't even like Ween too much but don't want to miss a great show either.

Most recently saw Tiny Moving Parts, Prawn, and Free Throw but left before Tiny Moving Parts because they suck lol
Free Throw was great

Seeing Nothing tomorrow, and Pity Sex and maybe Ambersmoke soon after

I'd go. Ween are really good live.

Music Fest NW?

Senpai, Pity Sex live is a non starter. I'd recommend against it and just enjoy their recorded music.

I've already seen them live once though and I still don't get the hate

Also I've been meaning to see the openers, Petal and PWR BTTM so I have to.
Also Britty is nice to look at.

>going outside

It was free

I am going to Boris on August 16th and Car Seat Headrest on September 27th

I saw Into It. Over It. with TWIABP earlier this year. IIOI was pretty good, but I liked TWIABP's set more. How was The Hotelier and Rozwell Kid?

Going to see sunn o))) next week. What am I in for guys?

Jandek

>Echo & The Bunnymen i
Speaking of old post-punk groups, I caught Gang of Four last year. Wasn't that great, but they did play quite a few Entertainment! songs.

Explosive diarrhea

Hope to go to Forecastle this summer. Haven't been in a couple of years.

youtu.be/6NW7fJxXxkk

RHCP, 27th september

Unless you're going for Jihadist purposes, that is a poor choice, my friend

Doubt you've ever been. Forecastle is great.

>doubt you've ever been
Don't need to. I can read the lineup

ween, august 21st, philly

Saw RJD2 a week ago and will hopefully be seeing People under the Stairs at the end of the month.

saw tim hecker, OPN, ben frost, the body, julianna barwick, julia holter, gary numan, and EITS at moogfest a few weeks ago and saw melt banana and melvins a few weeks before that. seeing built to spill this coming thursday has anyone seen them live before?

Have they even announced this year's lineup yet? I haven't been paying much attention.

Did anyone stand outat Moogfest?

Yeah, I just looked it up. I mean it doesn't suit my tastes in the least, but if you're into that stuff...

saw UMO a little while ago

going to bonnaroo mainly to see ween

Seeing Animal Collective on monday

don't really know what to expect, heard they were meh in concert but idc cause i love them

Do you guys know what kind of setlist they play ? it'll be mostly songs from Painting With, right ?

Really pissed that I'm moving this summer and have to miss this.

www.setlist.fm/setlists/animal-collective-6bd69a76.html

thanks

anyone saw them recently ?

Nah, you're right. This year's lineup is pretty weak. I do like Brandi Carlile and The Avett Brothers, though. So I'll probably go, anyway.

Seeing Tame Impala Thursday, Electric Forest in a few weeks, Swans in July, and really want to see Animal Collective

Sled Island in a few weeks though I'm really not feeling much from the lineup. Peaches is the guest curator and she basically just selected a dozen acts that sound exactly the fucking same as Peaches. That said eager to catch Tortoise, Besnard Lakes, Protomartyr, Built to Spill, GBV... maybe Kaytranada, Health, and Deafheaven. I dunno, I'm struggling to fill out my schedule this year.

Also going to Pop Montreal in September, don't really know what the lineup is yet. Gonna see Godspeed! in a seperate concert while I'm there though.

:')

Going to see David Gilmour and Deep Purple in july. Taylor Davis in october.

>built to spill
I saw them back in 2008 when they played Perfect from now on in its entirety. They are incredibly skilled musicians.
>EITS
Do they still put on a good show? I might go see them next week at a small venue, mostly for the nostalgia. Saw them back in 2008 too.

Saw tricot a few months ago when they were touring the UK. They were brilliant. New Order coming up in July. I might go see Peter Hook and his band do both Joy Division albums in July, but I'm undecided since I already saw them do that set last year (it was great, but I've also already been to about 5 of their gigs already since Sep 2015, so I might be overdoing it a bit with him).

I want to go to Japan this year and go to a toddle gig while I'm there since they have a new album out soon. Hisako's one of my favourite guitarists so I'd love to see them live.

Same

psycho las vegas festival in august
anco in september
desert daze festival in october

Seeing Swans in Minneapolis in July

Any Sup Forums bros down to meet? Coming from Canada so I can't feed my THC addiction

i'm going to ween in san francisco in october. i'm planning on being more high than i've ever been at that show.

desert daze

Lucky fuck. I want to go to Psycho soooo damn bad.

I saw shellac in april

I saw le butcherettes in may

Might see black lips with friend but im not really a fan

Seeing Dinosaur Jr. inside a barn in July.

codfishhollowbarnstormers.com/

ben frost's performance blew me away much more than tim hecker, OPN, and every other performance I saw but julia holter performing in a church setting was quite amazing as well.

>I saw them back in 2008 when they played Perfect from now on in its entirety. They are incredibly skilled musicians.
cool cool I'm excited. And EITS were p gud I'm a sucker for crescendos though so I was easily to please but I will say some of their sound designs fell a little flat in the live setting but it may have been due to mixing issues. still great though very loud and lots of vibrations it felt good.

...

I'll probably go see The flaming lips in october, but the hype for me kinda went away.
It would also be the First time I go to a concert.
What should I expect Sup Forums

Also are the other dudes worth it, apart from probably the Pet Shop Boys.

Never sat down to listen to Iggy Pop. And the other one I kinda heard of around here, I think. Is it worth it?
Probably I'm pissing someone of with my ignorance.

Boris & Earth, August 18th, Lawrence

Town center? Who are you user?

I saw them in London and they were fantastic. I liked the new album but wasn't exactly blown away but the live set was fantastic and the transitions and added instruments and effects to each song were incredible

Only weak song was Alvin Row. Really didn't fit the set and it was kind of an anti-climax

June -

nice dude. Im going to see them at psycho fest in las vegas

Saw Weekend Nachos recently. It was their last tour. Going to see The Body on Friday

I saw Ben Frost a year ago and he was fucking amazing. Rivaled Swans for sheer intensity of volume

Seeing Explosions in the Sky in September.

Does anyone know of any good concert sites that have more obscure and indie bands?? Right now all I use is songkick to browse concerts and it's just a pretty bad way to look for upcoming concerts without having to literally type in every band you can think of.

Saw Subhumans on Wednesday

BandsInTown

Same concept as songkick, but there's lots of small side bar/indie shows. Pretty legit actually.

Big ups on EitS. I've been wanting to see them for years.

>King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Holy shit am I fucking jealous!

Neat - they're great live.

>Went To
Beach House, was awesome
>Going To
Sigur Ros in September, super excited
Vancouver bros ww@?

Detroit?

PJ's Lager House, The Majestic, The Marble Bar, and The Blind Pig (A2) are pretty solid when it comes to more indie stuff.

Also should add is anyone going to AnCo at the Vogue in Van? Idk if its worth

Just saw The Cure
I'm going to see Black Sabbath, Radiohead, Swans, Cage the Elephant, Kendrick Lamar

Tame Impala on 9/13, Paul McCartney in October

Going to Car Seat Headrest September 10th
I do have a question though, is Aesop Rock any good live? I liked his album and his EP from this year, and am wondering if his live show is worth it.

Liz Harris on wednesday
Julia Holter on jun 18th
pretty pumped, they're here as part of an experimental music festival in my city
wolf eyes is playing tonight. a few years ago they got mount eerie & parquet courts. it's tight

Seeing Cage The Elephant (With Portugal. The Man opening.)
