Is rolling down your guitar volume and turning on the snark clip on tuner not good enough? Or do people think it's embarrassing to use on stage?
Sebastian Johnson
What's your favorite album?
Leo Ramirez
I've been gigging with a snark tuner. One less pedal to worry about.
Carson Scott
snark clip on does its job, and why would anyone consider that embarrassing?
if you want to spend a hundred bucks go for the boss chromatic tuner, i hear thats one of the best pedal tuners you can get.
Camden Ross
i wanna say dirt by alice in chains but im getting tired of rock music, getting more into folk.
benoit pioulard's temper is a great album, check it out
Samuel Hill
How big was the biggest crowd you have played for?
Aiden Bell
10,000 people as part of an orchestra.
20 or so by myself lol
Landon Sullivan
200 at a festival
Landon Peterson
Around 500 people
For the grade 8 talent show
Zachary Thompson
wow bummer no /gg/ pro here give tip but no good tip think about not listen to people many thanks bye
Carson Smith
Too many Jag-Fags last thread post your mustangs!
Evan Campbell
Surf Green leader standing by
Jayden Cruz
I was going to say about 5 people, but I just remembered I used to sing in a choral when I was in primary school, which means I sung in front of about a hundred people.
Matthew Bailey
saving up for this beauty right here. cant wait to get my hands on it, its about time i had a guitar with a single coil...
Zachary Rogers
Not mine but I'm saving up too, I want another SC that's not my stay at home strat
That is sweet! I don't remember a squier like this, was this re finished? I like those knobs on it.
My red one has go faster stripes.
Easton Brown
What songs do you guys play to get da puss?
Ayden Foster
I use these and I quite like the toan
Kevin Perez
I have a collection of hello kitty stuff. I bought the hello kitty guitar the day they announced it was discontinued and then everyone thought it would be hilarious for the rest of my life to buy me every cheap hello kitty thing they ever see ever.
Eventually I had so much Hello kitty shit from people I started buying it myself because it matched everything I had.
Parker Adams
woah, what the fuck is that crazy dragon looking guitar?
Kevin Green
I'm not really a loud type of guy so the best I can do is playing soft sensitive music. It works on the type of girls I tend to like. Pat Metheny ballads are always a good choice.
I couldn't pick one, but if I had to I'd say the Empyrean by John Frusciante.
Been listening to a lot of the Cure lately though, I love Robert Smiths playing.
Ian Rogers
What's the benefit to changing the body on an electric guitar? Like what would be the point of changing the body of a Squier Strat to the body of a Fender Strat?
Aiden Lewis
It's a Moser Bastard Vi, the guy who created a lot of B.C. Rich's early guitars like the Bich's guitar shop
Eh, in it's defense it's pretty easy to collect, because if it exists, 3 things are true.
There's a porn of it. There's kiss merch of it. There's HK merch of it.
Joseph Mitchell
anyone here have any picks signed by someone famous?
i got one signed by antti boman of demilich. damn proud of that one
Nathan Stewart
The Jag definitely, it has more useful sounds for me. Plus the offset body is just awesome, it sits real nice. I love the short scale length of both of them.
The Mustang is a Japanese Model and the pickups can really scream on it, pity they are hard to keep in tune though.
Wyatt Morris
ah. radical.
btw, whats that black pedal in the middle?
looks like a ten band eq or uberschall?
Matthew Morales
L-LONDON?
Gabriel Russell
>Hard to keep in tune
I don't use the vibrato on mine t b h, but when I do it manages to keep in tune after wiggling the bar. You sure it's properly set up?
Dylan Cook
Not nearly as exciting. It's a Metal Muff.
Wut
Justin Reed
The guitar sounds spiritual.
Leo Taylor
Thanks! Yea I refined it surf green pic related is what it was before. I gave it a lipstick neck and the ivory radio knobs. I like that Sherwood green Jag as well, I've been wanting that Jaguar bite but the Cyclone IIIs seem like another option as well I played Milky Chance-Stolen Dance a couple years ago to impress my ex. The low vocal range made it easy, you can just look up the chords to any current tumblr-Esque indie song on the radio for puss puss Not much depending on your preference on weight. My go to strat is a surf green VM Squier body with a MiM neck and CS pickups
John Jones
tune that acoustic to CGCFCE
and take it from there.
Chase Hall
...
Evan Hill
how hard was stripping the old finish? looks pretty sweet with the green
Jace Rivera
It's in CGCGCE
Robert Butler
Yeah for sure, I just play them quite hard so it's inevitable that they will go out of tune a bit. The Jag can't take a lot of string bending which is a shame, which is why I have it set hard tail.
My Tele in the pic is quite the opposite, it is a beast.
You done a good job with the mustang, looking great!
Henry Price
ever heard this album?
Andrew Thompson
well tune that G to an F, trust me m8 it works wonders.
Cameron Evans
It was poly before so I heated it up and it shed right off with a scraper. Although I did fuck up a bit and left some nicks in.
Colton Hernandez
I don't think I want too
Matthew Lewis
If you could have only one guitar to do it all, for the rest of your life, what would the pickup and electronic configuration be?
Jeremiah Fisher
you make nick drake sad.
Cameron Edwards
But I make Hevy Devy happy
Michael Cruz
tfw comfy af guitar nooks
Asher Hughes
1 humbucker with volume knob
Ethan King
>Jazzy Hollowbody Tones >Les Paul-ish Rock Tones >Crystal Clear Cleans (bridge pickup) >Screeching Noise Rock sounds
This guitar does it all
Adam Howard
Mustangbros, which hardshell case would you recommend? I'm still using the Fender soft case that came with it, I'm looking for something with more protection. I heard the "official" Fender ones aren't that good.
Jayden Turner
What's your budget? You can also use the ones that can fit SGs since they're similarly long
Anthony Jones
Lmfao @ saving the boxes. Why we do that. ..
Christian Johnson
Asking again
What case is that? I've been looking for something smaller than the stock fender case.
Ryan White
Just say HH with 2 volume 2 tone m8. >Does it all >Doesn't do single coil
Adam Mitchell
jesus what's with the offset fender fanboy hivemind here?
Owen Howard
What would you guys recommend for a guitar under or at the price of 1000?
Thomas Jenkins
this thread attracts lots of shoegaze twinks
Luke Wright
honestly the nip gig bags are pretty good as they are
unless you're doing some heavy gigging i wouldn't even borrow with a heavy, space taking hard case.
But I'm a big fan of the Fender/G&G tweed cases
Colton Powell
Probably less than $100 I'd say. I have another guitar with a more common shape/scale and its HSC was around $50 I think.
Carter Kelly
MIJ Cherry Red Fender Mustang
Austin Jones
There isn't one. It's not like everyone in /gg/ just posted their guitars, a dude asked people to post their mustangs and they did.
People don't post their gear every thread here unless they're trying to avatarfag.
Joshua Hughes
HH, Piezo bridge. 1 volume, 1 tone with coil split, 3-way toggle.
If I really really wanted to be versatile, HSH, Piezo bridge. 1 volume, 1 tone (no split necessary), 5-way toggle. Or HSS Strat with the Elite wiring.
Jayden Rivera
Nah, you can't get those woody archtop sounds out of a solidbody. the controllable feedback in semi-hollows is also pretty unique.. You can get close but not quite. A low output PAF pickup can get you cleans that are just as jangly as a single coil imo.
I don't even bother with Single Coils any more, way too noisy.
Jacob Perry
if i ever want to sell a pedal i'd have it as it was when i bought it, manuals and all.
and i keep my pedals in great condition so when i sell em theyre like new, in box, all manuals. more likely to sell, and fetches a higher price.
Camden Fisher
meant for
Anthony Mitchell
That's some clean advice right there.
Xavier Morgan
Maybe about 300 people. Opening at a Septicflesh show
3000 people at a kind of community music event which was hosted by Michelle McManus. I was 17 and tripping on LSD at the time, strange times.
Joseph Brown
It's really their only album I like, though. Something about Textures never clicked, and the later albums are too mellow
Henry Watson
>vintage guitar case what the fuck
William Lewis
Yes! I'm also a fan of Alice Coltrane's work as well as her husband's, but somehow that specific album didn't feel as I was expecting. I guess I was looking for a sort of mashup of Caravanserai and Journey in Satchindananda, but it didn't feel like either.
I might give it another try now that you just refreshed my mind.
Nathan Edwards
tonemold bruh
Henry Myers
>tfw when I keep all my pedal boxes and booklets >tfw when they're all chipped and dirty from playing at parties and outdoors Can't sell em at a good profit but they'll at least look good coming in the box
Parker Sanders
...
William Murphy
tell me about the pedal with the german eagle
and yeah as long as its in the original box and shit people will be more likely to accept a higher price. trust me, i have a phd in shlomo steinberg economics lol
Jace Baker
Logan Square Destroyer by Daredevil pedals. It's cool stoner rock fuzz made in the neighborhood where I grew up, traded a Swollen Pickle for it. I love it it's simple yet effective it gives you that wall of fuzzy sound
Christopher Jackson
Idk what to record so here's some noodle-core. There was a guy a couple threads ago asking what the Azusa amplug sounds like so I recorded some bullshit with my phone. Towards the end, my pickups are phased out
