That's the problem. I'm familiar with all the mucore, with lots of shit that tops RYM charts and so on. I want to find obscure but good music that somehow isn't universally praised by this board or somewhere else.

Because I want to find new stuff, expand my spectrum. For example, I really like avant-garde jazz but I don't think I have already found THE recording or THE artist.

So just google "avant garde jazz" and start listening.

Also, you're searching for something that doesn't exist. Just listen to music whereever you find it.

i am not an authority on avant garde jazz, but you can check the archive. i'm sure there are days and days of recs there.
