It's good, but I don't like Wah Wah.

It's alright, there's better modern psychedelic stuff though

like what

Its really fucking amazing, so far this is my favorite album of the year. I just love everything about it (Mabry except for the drumming) but this album is well produced for the kind of "aesthetic" they aimed for. Great instrumentals. Catchy, uplifting, kicking, fun and a great sound track to workout to and drive to as well as just chill while drunk with friends.

I personally think this shot is amazing so I would love to know what could be better.

It's great

Radio Moscow, Liquid Sound Company, Bad Liquor Pool, Causa Sui to name a few
Still it's a good album yeah

I love that album. In my opinion, it's the best of king gizzard's discography and one of the best albums of the year. The way the tracks flow to one another is great.

It's still yet to click with me but I don't mind it. I still think Float On - Fill Your Lungs is vastly superior but it's a bit different.

...

I could talk about this album forever

In my top 5 for 2016

It's very good

Love that gif so much

guess i can't listen to it anymore

this is really my favorite song by them

youtube.com/watch?v=PUZn1I6llJs

>on the carpet

what makes a song 'psychedelic' tho?

Fuzz, delay and reverbs

Prefer colour haze myself

What direction do you think they will go in for their next album?

i think in general it's a clear focus on capturing a unique sound

same

math rock

preach it. favourite album? mine's tempel

thanks for reply

This would be aoty but their next 3 albums coming out this year that are going to be even better

I'm in my 6th loop please help me esca

too bad, you're here forever now
jut like the rest of us

Yeah the same, Temple.

I was excited about she said but didn't really do much for me unfortunately.

my copy of nonagon ships end of the month

I've listened to Nonagon, Mind Fuzz and Float Along. Float Along was definitely my favourite, so which album should I check out next?

hnnnngghgh

I have Mind Fuzz and Paper Mache Dream Balloon, the rest are always overpriced when I see them online

yeah, resale prices are ridiculous. You have to pre order if you want a decent price. They have yet to let me down.

oddments

I really enjoyed it.

Do you know if they're ever gonna sell them again? I've seen float along listed as high as $300

The drumming is precisely why I find this album unlistenable.

float along/oddments were reissued as a double album twice now.

look under compilations on discogs

this is the mindset that's ruining modern psych music. i bet you like tame impala

so theres hope????
>6 for sale from $100
Still too much for a record

whats wrong with the drums?

>band has two drummers

they're only the best psych band of the decade

entry level at best

You can be entry level and still be the best at what you do

I got all of mine for under $30

just really really horribly uninteresting.
I can only take so much
>do do cah
>do cah
>do do cah
>do cah

What's the best album to come out of those groups?

It's pretty subjective but personally
Radio Moscow - Brain Cycles
Liquid Sound Company - Acid music for acid people
bad liquor pond - the year of the clam
causa sui - euporie tide

Also pretty unrelated I guess but Sup Forums always seem to bum shoegaze, and this psychedelic song sort of has a shoegazy feel to it, really like it

youtube.com/watch?v=kHqcDxhmrGc

Cool, thanks for the recs. I like nonagon infinity, but I'm not super into rock music in general. I do like shoegaze lol

Exploring the Psychedelic >>>>>>>>>> Acid Music for Acid People

Are there any women making cool contemporary psychedelic rock?

Acid King's vocalist is a woman. Know they're more stoner than psych but still

youtube.com/watch?v=JVgMOtWkTj4

depends on my mood but imo it's a close second

Radio Moscow is good but there's no way in hell they're better than King Gizzard.

I'll have to check out those other bands you mentioned, though

Absolutely
I didn't think they'd top I'm In Your Mind Fuzz.

I also love how the final track loops back into the opener, morphing the first bridge into a second climax.

Damn good

Let's agree to disagree

But yeah do, should potentially be interesting stuff

I listened to Acid Music for Acid People and didn't really like it, I'll check that out tho

>a massive thread that's just a bunch of people with absolutely nothing negative to say besides

either this is disgusting shill exchange OR there's people who actually like this middle-of-the-road, derivative garbage

You anons are telling me you like a band that deliberately sounds like they're an old band for cool points?

>people in this thread aren't being dicks, there must be something amiss!

This is why we can't have nice things you cunt

this album is so comfy
it's like my bloody valentine on acid

>Not liking something=being dicks

lmao

probably not famalam

I can't find d/l links to their discography or albums anywhere.

Just puts me in a similar state of mind but its far slower and generally more psychedelic sounding

Does anyone know if they do the whole album in sequence live?

Melody's Echo Chamber

they don't. I saw them a few weeks ago. First 4 tracks from nonagon then some older stuff into evil death roll and then they finish with float along fill your lungs

I actually like the drumming. It's definitely Kruatrock influenced and it pumbles you. Would I like it to have variety and more nuanced? Sure. I'm sure if they go in a jazzier direction, the drumming would be more subtle, I'm sure.

My only complaint is that they don't jam more and everything is tightly composed. If they improvised live, than they would probably be the best psych band around today.

When I saw them live they did an improvised transition from nonagon into hot water and it was pretty cool

fuck yes. going to see them at the end of the month, I hope they do something like this.

robot stop into hot water. They've been doing it every show for the past 6 months

awww, I didn't know that

I thought it was something unique and special just for us

good shit

Mr Beat?

does anyone actually like road train?

best on the album desu

You mean Mr Beat

THIS

there is a torrent of their discography on kat

Do you only own a quarter of Quarters or is it an alt cover ?

They're supposedly re-releasing everything but with alternative cover art

youtube.com/watch?v=4W19twyYD2Q

So fucking good

I was at an AnCo gig and the woman next to me was very enthusiastic about them.

Still haven't listened to it.

Next four actually

haha coloured boys

I'm pretty sure this is going to be their only album this year because they're making that nonagon movie

Do they still play am I in heaven? That and head on/pill are both fucking God tier

I think it's a pretty good album. I can appreciate the whole, "seamless track list" but I wish it was a little more dynamic. It's also back loaded as fuck. I'll probably pick it up this weekend or something.
