i thought the death fortress record was pretty good, but it didn't do much to stay in my memory after the first couple listens. their bandcamp describes them as having a distinctive sound, but i don't really get that from them. what did you guys like about it particularly?
oranssi pazuzu sounded cool but it felt a bit too gimmicky for me to really get into. to be fair though i don't really like any of their stuff
i really loved that uada album and completely forgot about it for some reason so thanks for reminding me. i'm gonna have to download that shit

The new Oranssi Pazuzu has a lot of filler but when it's good it's great. The new Schammasch is like Batushka but better. Cobalt are basically a black metal Tool but with way better songwriting.
Uada are cool but we don't discuss them here for some reason because they got written about in major publications.

nice taste, but those albums are both pretty unique desu. i honestly can't think of anything from this year that's similar at all. stay tuned for the next botanist ep though. it's bound to be pretty out there like all of his other material. not necessarily similar to those other projects, but definitely unusual in its own charming way
