Then the odd times. Not pleasing to the ears. Stupid short notes, no one lets notes ring out. Annoying with bass, definitely.

Easily explained, I listened to deathcore and emocore as a kid (but not stuff like BVB and Brokencyde) and when I was 14-15 I really liked the melodic parts as they would display some sort of emotional vournability and the beatdowns, drops etc were like the aggressive side of an angsty 14 year old where you imagine you stab people you dislike and kill them
it's very edgy, but i dont think its about musical skill in modern metal
