More movies where a mainstream artist provides all the music? I can only think of Harold & Maude and Tron: Legacy

...

Scored by Brian Eno

Johnny Greenwood and Trent Reznor have done a few films each, although I think Trent collaborated for all of his with Atticus Ross.

Toto did the soundtrack to Lynch's Dune

As a white person, i am not bothered. we dont go around detracting the 'unbearable blackness of hip-hop'. Like seriously, chill.

nice one and nice trips

...

thats because blackness isnt cringeworthy. when i see some mayonaise on white bread in movie form i cringe. has nothing to do with politics. whiteness is just synonymous with blandness

Yes deffenently my favorite movie soundtrack

...

>DUDE LE SO INDIE
I wish Ellen Page got pregnant in real life and died giving birth. She deserves worse for that shit video game anyways.

terry riley's score to the movie "lifespan"

never seen the movie but the music is fantastic. probably his most sonically pleasing but not most intellectually stimulating of his work.

White people happen to be pretty creative and innovative.

Kids
Gummo
It Follows
Eraserhead

>As a white person, i am not bothered.
>as a white person
you see thats because its pandering to you asshole. you dont have to live with the consequences of a culture that is dominated by whiteness. and in order to survive in the world dull your own cultural background and heritage into an easily pallatable white bread package for the ruling class of whites who are frightened by any poc with a strong rich culture that cant easily fit into their easy white worldview. ;^)

you're just proving that you're as afraid and turned off by my culture as i (supposedly) am of yours.

Yeah, user said he was right to show that it he is the audience, and other races shouldn't get up in arms because they aren't apart of the culture, cause everything has an audience.

No really, you can't be turned off by white culture when it dominates the world view

>inb4 Drive

...

...

Yeah, dude, but like, we did this, if one race can actually dominate the ENTIRE world view for so long, than i should be proud, im sorry its not yours, but its mine, and im glad.

That soundtrack isn't even good it's only good to reddit kids who think it's good becuase "muh diffrent"

Haven't seen the movie but Ryuichi Sakamoto is great. All his collabs with Alva Noto are pretty nice

Fault in our star

Why does this "le quirky hipster" always end up being the brand for "white"? There are plenty of more prominent branches of white culture, like redneck/southern culture, prep/ivy league, punk culture, metal culture, suburban/midwestern, english, Russian, german, Italian, etc.

Yeah, except like 50% of the soundtrack is by a black woman.

Mad Max: Fury Road
The Hateful 8
Shaft
Wings Of Desire
October (Ten Days That Shook The World)

...

Oh, and this by Johnny Greenwood

Inland Empire too

>blackness isnt cringeworthy
There is a song where literally 90% is "MY NIGGA". Are you seriously suggesting that isn't just as cringeworthy?

I like how Autechre's Kalpol Introl played during this scene

...

oh bb u kno

Fucking nice Kundera reference

...

Eraserhead's soundtrack legitimately made me uncomfortable
good movie

It better than an entire's genre's discography being about girls that don't want them.

Blade Runner

The royal tenenbaums also has a really good, and pretty Sup Forumscore, soundtrack

Ok, both of you are generalizing a lot. I like hip-hop and indie rock, both genres have a lot more to offer than just those generalizations. If you cant listen to a single song in a vast genre without cringing, than you probably are not being open-minded enough, or are too concerned with superficial things in music. sure you dont like the lyrical subject matter, but do you like the melodies or the textures? and you dont like the use of the word "nigga" but if you just treat it as a pronoun, than you can see what the lyrics are really trying to convey)

...

>Genre's discography
Nigger education right there folks

good movies here

Sucker Punch

frank, if you play an instrument you gonna like it

American Hustle.

Good movie too.

nice

This film is about music. I agree though, sick film/soundtrack

This

whiteness isn't cringeworthy either. it doesn't have to be, anyways, it depends solely on yr mindset

>blackness isnt cringeworthy
Holy fuck it can be

>silencio

This film is literally made to accompany an album, and the film follows a fictional alien band

too bad that movie and book are fucking horrible

Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys fame did the whole soundtrack to Submarine.

Isaac Hayes did Shaft. Giorgio Moroder did The Never Ending Story. Nick Cave has done a couple as well.
