DOOT DOOT

post what you're listening to son

abstracter.bandcamp.com/album/wound-empire

when will this general recognize grindcore as the best subgenre

I'm fine with that

I listened to that Wormed album for like a month straight on my drive to work.

Now I'm on that hate sludge.

When it becomes the best subgenre

...

Grindcore isn't metal though.

>no atmospheric shit
>goes fast
>riffs
sounds like best to me

Whats the best metal album?

sunbather

Mental Funeral

Grindcore has shit riffs overall. Some deathgrind has riffs but that's it.

Pic related
Literal 10/10 no flaws, great vocals, amazing solos, 2spooky4me atmosphere, GOAT Satanic lyrics; greatest metal album ever.
Proof: look how many butthurt faggots will respond to this post trying to prove me wrong.

Dragonland - Under the Grey Banner
mfw some falsecuck will disagree

cavemancult.bandcamp.com/album/savage-war-is-destiny

Still breddy gud, not sure I like it more than RoS tho

Is Vader worth cheking out?

>Proof: look how many butthurt faggots will respond to this post trying to prove me wrong.
What kind of proof is that supposed to be?

No

...

>What kind of proof is that supposed to be?
Because they'll be wrong

Vader is okay, nothing too special

...

What does /metal/ think of Kvelertak?

Nice trips. Too bad your opinion still sucks.

Can someone rec me some really sad doom? I'm pretty new to things that aren't death metal, but I liked the first Pallbearer record. I like that kind of hopeless atmosphere, but I think I want to stick with clean vocals for now. Doom with harsh vocals just sounds like really slow death metal to me, and I'm just not ready for that yet.

...

Hipster shit

Hail to the king babby

Debut was cool but they lost me after that

Have you listened to Bell Witch

They do half death growls/half (really good) clean vocals but it's the first and best thing that comes to mind when you say "sad doom"

How are they hipster? They are just black&roll

youtube.com/watch?v=PkB4tefl3yw

>They are just black&roll
Yea, hipster shit.

I prefer the one where he plays the same song for an hour and a half with techno breaks personally. Blanking on the name

Whats wrong about it, I like it

Do you meme loving fucks actually like anything?

listening to some crowbar
youtube.com/watch?v=u5idDTkwZRw

why do nu-males get so upset at ironic shitposts?

I like a lot of things, yes

My tastes seem to have diverged from that of this general though

>Experiencing positive feelings

Yes. Memes.

I don't care if you like it or not, but it's still hipster shit. If it makes you feel any better I like some hipster shit as well when I'm in the mood for it.

No

this thread is for spamming buzzwords to invalidate entire discographies

they're solid

But how are they "hipster"?

>grindcore
>riffs
War metal has more riffs nigger, and if you atmoshit grind has been around for a while
youtube.com/watch?v=mINKK1Hpm3c

...

...

Pitchfork gave it an 8.0

Yes, but don't expect something original, they don't have bad album but they didn't experiment or try something new. They just improve their sound and production.

I would recommend those (no order):
>Litany
>Revelations
>Necropolis
>Impressions in Blood
>The Art of War
>Black to the Blind

Also, despise the fact that it's a EP, The Art of War is a classic one of their discography.

aoty 2015

How do you hear your music /metal/?

Through my asshole.

Playing indie rock with a comedic veneer of black metal to try to convince hipsters they're listening to something actually metal. They don't even warrant an inclusion on Metal Archives and that site has metalcore bands listed.

But like I said; I don't care if you like them or not. I'm sure all of us like some pretty gay hipster shit.

In a lit circle of black candles while fucking myself in the ass with a crucifix.

Should I hear music, It would be deaf metal.

Exactly how the reviews tell me to.

Whats up with the album cover being cropped like in pic. everywhere but the official store?

In what program do you hear your music /metalcucks/?

internet explorer maybe musicbee

>muh hipster metal

youtube.com/watch?v=n4UimRm_IL4

media player, youtube, or foobar on my computer. blackplayer EX on my phone.

Have you thanked Bjorn 'Speed' Strid yet today?

Is there a way to download on bandcamp without paying?

how did that become his nickname anyways?

Foobar on PC
generic Samsung music player on phone

yeah its called credit card fraud

>internet explorer

He got the nickname "speed" as a kid because of the fast and heavy music he liked, I can't remember where I read that though

Jesus, just pirate it

MediaMonkey. My only complaint is that it sometimes makes a loud click if I change the EQ setting while a song is playing. Other than that, it suits me perfectly.

Spotify, it would take ages to download all the music i got

...

Took me 2 years to catalog 1100 GB of metal

Any pics?

...

how much of it have you listened to?

I meant pics of how you got everything organized

His album count... It's over nine THOOOOOOOOOOUSAND!!!!

nice, dude.

terminal redux

Oh.

Really nothing special in the Windows folder.
Cleanly organized, alphabetical order, simple.
ID3 tags include artist, album artist, composers ripped from Wikipedia (admittedly most of the time it's just the band credited as composer) and lyrics attached to each individual track that has lyrics. Song titles are tagged with language rules. English follows its rules, Norwegian follows its rules, German follows its rules, etc. I try to add the information for record labels whenever possible. It's nice to know who supplied the bonus tracks I have and such.

>H.P. Lovecraft

LITTLE PIG LITTLE PIG LET ME IN

What are the good motorhead albums?

NOT BY THE HAIR OF MY CHINNY, CHIN, CHIN!!

Fucking Maynard

Overkill, Ace of Spades, Another Perfect Day, 1916, & Inferno. Aftershock was really good considering how late into their career it was. Lemmy's health and voice took a real hit between that and his last album.

There's something memey about this band, but I can't put my finger on it

youtube.com/watch?v=aPVt9yR8t2o

idk most of them are fine

The meme is hipster grind

I just have listened to Ace of Spades, they are quite intimidating to get into cause of their large discography

Start with No Sleep 'til Hammersmith.
It's a live album, but it conveys what you're getting into with old Motorhead

>user tells me to take a break from metal
>tells me to check out what's popular on YT
youtube.com/watch?v=K_9tX4eHztY
>mfw

>has six different Iron bands but no Iron Maiden
