Dude thank you so much. It especially means a lot because this album of yours is amazing. It's like Plexus got revamped for the new decade. Which makes me a bit sad since it's been two years since you last put out something. Why the gap?

Oh you know. Work. Personal shit. The daily struggles lol. My good music making laptop actually died RIGHT after making "PROGRAM", so now I've gotta take the time to save some money and buy new a interface :( But hopefully in another couple months, I'll be back in the saddle making new tunes!

I'm not a big fan of them either. I definitely had a great time with their music earlier though.

Incidentally it sounds a lot like the stuff I tried making when I first started the band, but moved towards more punk territory anyway.
Thanks for the love
That sounds really good even if not really suitable for my taste. It all works really good together, vocals and instruments. Keep up and thanks for the rec!
This shit is thoroughly good. Can't wait for the full album to drop. Cheers!

I have shitty unsupportive friends. I've been making music for the last 8 years of my life and have worked my ass off trying to make a name for myself in this city. And when something good finally happens like a record deal from a tiny label or some airtime on an obscure Internet podcast, they do whatever they can to passive aggressively patronize my achievements. "lol tone it down on the effects" and "famous yet?" shit like that. I don't want to sound pretentious, I just see other upcoming artists whose friends come to all their shows and love the fuck outta them but I have never had support like that.
/rant
Its all good man. I feel you on a bunch of that. Just keep on keeping on. Find new friends, persist with your music endeavors, and most importantly do it for yourself. Not for anyone else. Fuck them.
Thanks so much! Hopefully it drops sooner than later

I've had the same issue. Most people don't want you to succeed because then it makes them feel bad about themselves. I'be been teased for taking my music too seriously but as a wise friend (a true friend) once told me "If you can't give a serious fuck about your art, how do you expect other people to?". It's why most soundcloud profiles have "ironically crappy" music with "ironically crappy" album art. Becasue they know that being serious about their art opens them up to serious criticism- and they can't handle it, so they self-handicap with low effort so that way they can sit back and continue to be music critics but when someone slams their work they have the luxury of brushing it off and saying "Psssh! My song? Dude, I don't even care, I'm just fucking around" or "Psssh, I'm just doing it for fun". You know what, "Just fucking around" rarely makes memorable art. Every once in a while someone might strike gold without trying, but QUALITY music takes time, blood, sweat, tears, passion, energy, and emotional resilience. And Most people know they don't have it, and don't have the time to cultivate it. Keep on keepin' on, Lone Wolf.

Holy shit this
I used to be close friends with a guy who had this EXACT SAME MENTALITY and then doesn't get why I'm a bit skeptical of listening to anything else he does because it's just "fucking around."
Give 100% or give nothing. People can smell bullshit when it comes to music.
Yuppp. People are familiar with the term "Starving Artist", but more accurately it should be "Starving Artist who is also constantly scrutinized, critiqued, and often laughed at". Which is why most people don't try to be serious about their art, because most people can't handle having their "feewings" hurt.
