Don't be overly pushy. We're all here because we want recognition for our work, and if its truely good, people with rec naturally :) If not, it might be time to brush up on some practice is all! Don't try writing music because that specific genre is popular, make music that makes you happy, music that at the end of the day, you're proud of making!
agreed
I really love this. Sounds a bit like Ski Lodge, which is one of my favorite groups.
His vocals are on point, and that bassline is stronk ~

your voice is just fine, just try to be a tad bit more aggressive.
the thing about voices is anyone can be an artist if they learn how to use and manipulate their voice. some people can do it naturally but some have to change the tone a little, for example, eminem and drake
pretty cool but feels a bit empty
usually cant stand uk rap but this isnt bad atol m8 cheers
very nice but i was waiting for a big finale that never came
the sounds feel really generic but it could be nice
this is cool but the kicks should hit harder and i dont really like the snare
hey you finally found the link
the beat is mixed really bad and it sounds like youre reading
the kicks feel empty but this is really cool
you should filter the guitars slightly to kinda match the lofi vox but i dig this
mix needs to be cleaned way up
rexx
moi
reminds me of The Smiths
i hope you didn't quit your day job for this
I'll try to keep practicing, but Eminem and Drake both suck so there's that. Either you're a rapper or you're not.
whyd u skip me
cause you're fucking trash & you've been talking shit during the entire duration of this thread. crawl your way back to Sup Forums

>It's been a while since I last tried to sing

Would appreciate feedback on this track.

>dark triphop /w me singing
> Either you're a rapper or you're not
exactly, first step is to BE a rapper/artist/musician, step 2 is to DO the things an artist does, step 3 is HAVE the life of an artist.
most "aspiring" rappers skip that first step and remain lame ass internet rappers
>soundcloud.com
awful singing and creepy lyrics but considering that, not all that bad. just practice singing a lot - sing against a backing track, with a piano near you - at the end of every phrase, play the note you're supposed to be on, and check that you're actually in tune - you will be killer in no time. also, transpose everything up significant and use your falsetto. it will be lovely given your current style. bonne chance.
idiot
they've still got more of a following than you for a reason
and you already had some (You)s
i just left feedback on the ones that didnt
except for the one dude i had to see what the hype was about
nigga that wasnt even me
how the fuck?
so does Slim Jesus. I'm not trying to be shit, I just wrote a quick rap to a beat demo I did for the fuck of it man. I would like to try and get better at producing though.
Mostly soundtrack/cinematic/hybrid stuff.

Mellow electronic diggy with a healthy helping of real sounds. Bought some shitty old Indian cassette tapes so I had to rip some samples and see what I could do. Lemme know how I can make her better!
since you guys are producers what do you think of using synth vst presets a lot? does it make you a bad producer
It's fine, anyone who says real producers don't use presets is a dummy.
Trick is, pick a synth that people have made a shitload of presets for. Then you can scan through and pick the ones that are good. From there, it's easy to modify the ASDR settings on like any synth, and you can change the sound pretty substantially using just those.
Throw some other effects on the chain after the synth (reverb, saturation, whatever) and you have a whole new sound. You have to know how to skillfully pick effects / EQ / mix to shape it the way you want, I suppose, but you don't have to know how to program a synth from scratch.
The real skill is knowing what sound is good, which is lame, and what has been overused. Doesn't really matter whether or not you use a preset. That being said, If you are planning on sticking to one or two synths, learning the ins and outs of them can be valuable.
Ya boi, who certainly utilizes presets: soundcloud.com
