Let's discuss our own written songs, maybe point out similarities, points of improvement and strong points.
The Idea is that basically all posters listen to every song in the thread. So start with one song linked. Tell us a little about it and what your experience was
Last time people refused to not post hip hop because of some grudge.. Let's please not do that this time..

Returning all feedback on Soundcloud.
This is a very unique sounding track. The repeating guitar riff is pretty catchy. The little percussion is nice. I wish it turned into something even bigger, though, like another part that it went to. It's very good already, though.
I'm not sure I understand, no instrumentals allowed? I just got a mic, and haven't gotten around to writing a song with lyrics
This song took me a long time to make progress on, and I still consider it unfinished. I want to take the listener into an increasing tension, with a climax, and a the fallout of said release. I feel like there's a few more elements I can introduce into the song. While I like the simplicity, it borders on stagnant at times. A few more melodic motifs could probably help. What do you think?
recc because of its uniqueness. Sorta reminds me of the quirkyness of artists like the gorillaz. Something like Last Living souls. Not reaching quite the same level of grandeur. Try taking the song to other places, rather than just stick with one thing and repeating it, I'd reccomend
recs: nub scrub hyper specific cis scum boys tony chu toilet friend SONP UNX BELP TROPX i can't get around to listening to everyone's stuff, i delve into certain channels after finding them by sight. post good graphics!
Wow, I really like the structure and the changes of melody. Voice fits perfectly for the song. Not really a fan of the electronic part, bhut that's just preference, I think it is a good chillwave twist, reminds me of Errors a little bit. Good work.
"You said No" is nice. I miss arrangements for electric guitars though, but I can see it's not your thing maybe. Beg the Air sounds like a mix between Ducktails and American Football. Loved it. You have talent, user.
soundcloud.com/jhost/mr-mccready >FOLK/STORY This is what it sounds like when someone is heavily sexually repressed and simultaneously depressed
>soundcloud.com/bassdandy/light-swings The clash of the lo-fi samples and the high-fi beats really de-harmonize the song. The voice sampled in the background is obviously of lower quality than the rest of the song and the song as a whole would probably do well having all of those lines re-recorded and then re-sampled.
soundcloud.com/ben-j-armstrong/sets/luxury-music >electronic Only released these yesterday and I'm desperate for feedback. I've never really released anything to anyone before, so brutally honest criticism and would be appreciated
Digging that retro vibe, the sampling is a fitting touch. Have a like
That was beautiful
The mixing in that latest track is really good, chill track

New singer songwriter and folk songs coming out next week but here's one from a while back that people seemed to like.
Basically, I fell for this girl who after a couple months of dating suddenly stopped speaking to me and I never found out why. She really liked Italy and studied Latin so I made a song with Greek mythology/ Roman references in it.
This one was written about the same girl, everyone thinks its about a dude with a gambling addiction, but it's about a lonely guy who goes all in too fast when it comes to falling for people and just keeps trying over and over.
genres I usually make music under: >Folk >Singer-songwriter >Post-Rock >Ambient
Really nice production quality for just a simple jam session, nice original sound too.
always like your stuff tiger.
b-but these are instrumental, n-not singing. Still nice though
ho did you record them underwater wah?
yesyesyesyes, keep it up
This is nice dude
I'm liking the feel of this, think the bassy piano parts could be mixed a bit differently, kinda punching a bit or something at points.
soundcloud.com/rex-bennett some beats I made and also some chiptunes (if yr interested in the chiptunes [even though Sup Forums hates it] there are three albums at onefor.bancamp.com)
Big Man Tings Alert!! Monthly tracks up to Ep/Mini Album Release Singer/Songwriter, Feedback very appreciated. I make weird glitchy beats and folk music, Grand.
I picked up a guitar at 13 to pick up girls, then fell in love with the guitar instead. Many years later and dabbled into lots of different genres. I do this just for fun
