It is like he is just talking and these lines come out. The opposite of kanye where he yells like a emu in heat when he says some cool shit. Plus the beats are GOAT.

The instrumentals are not impressive.
The brazilian music samples almos represents a plagiarism, (of Maria Bethania etc).
Its extreme overrated, and people judges the album most because of its Artwork that is a direct copy of the Madonna debut album.
Overrall the album is an unoriginal piece of hip-hop who recycles ideas used in the album "36 Chambers" by Wu-Tang Clan (the use of cartoon-like samples/interludes).
The narrative of the album itself is almost a parody, direct copy of the Gorillaz aesthetic/characters-alter ego concept.
MF Doom looks more like a little lady than a "super villain" on the flow, he can't impress me. Nas "Stillmac" and Jay-Z "Black Album" are leagues ahead of Madvillainy, just to mention two exemples.
Final score: 7.4/10

Good, being a jazz fan who digs Jazz inspried hip hop, tribe, farsyde, the roots, etc. I really dig this record, his rhyme sceems are insane, sometimes rhyming every word in a phrase, the beats fucking groove and are usually a nod to earlier jazz/Afro inspired music, and lyrics are killin. I mean cats can have their own opinions but it's a fucking great record. Anyone who dislikes it is memeing, contrarian, so tired of hearing people talk about it theyre ready to die.
