My music is also avaialable on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and more!

I liked you back when you were Zenosyne

If you wanna be cheapo - RouteNote. If you wanna be payo - DistroKid. I'm a cheapo one.

Arg, my eyes! Sure enough, but I hated myself back in Zenosyne time. The decision of leaving this project aside was quite conscious on my part. But I'm glad that you're enjoying my music!

really liking i'm so lame! nicely noisy and sort of comfy too

>
pretty cool, unique set of influences that are all executed quite well, nice artwork too. The Dragon on the Shore Beside the Sea seems a slight bit too long and excessive though, but that's just personal preference

remember this from a previous thread, this is REALLY nice. great atmosphere, especially Beleaguered By Sound 4. love it when people use "garbage material" so well, we try to do that with magna sunset as well

Yeah I'm a distrokid but that's mostly because I didn't look into other alternatives first. Oh well, there's always Sup Forums

Hey, thank you for listening. Dragon definitely gets mixed results (for good reason too) so i dont blame you for not digging it. hope to give your music a listen when I get home.

Hey, thanks for listening! I gave few tracks a listen and I like the diversity and that each track gives something different to a listener. Definitely a bigger fan of quieter moments however I do enjoy "paper noise" quite fine too.

Yeah, I would love to be at DistroKid too. But I'm a poor Pole. A shame if I ever could credit one.

cool guys:

Kek, we're you the guy I was talking to before some user told us to get a room? Cool to know you have a bandcamp of your own, will listen asap

i was the guy talking about a dragon on the shore
some other guy came in and continued the convo to the point of needing to get a room

i can see why you thought we were the same person, but youve acc got more fans then you think :)

skabetty.bandcamp.com/album/the-new-album-got-deleted-so-here-are-some-quick-songs
>half ironic electronic song
This might sound fake, but I swear it's true
So I was on the bus listening to Cherubim, like I usually do, when this rather said "large" man comes and sits by my side.
I don't usually mind fat people, but this guy was like, sweating a lot and breathing really loud (I could even hear it with my headphones on)
So yeah I then forget that he is sitting by my side and I focus on the music, until I hear something coming by my side.
The man is shoving his hand on his backpack (yeah he had one) and no fucking way. HE TAKES OUT A KEBAB AND BEGINS TO EAT IT LOUDLY
Now, a lot of people were staring at him, but he didn't give a damn (I admire him for that)
Suddenly, the bus makes a harsh turn and hE DROPS HIS KEBAB ON MY KNEES
There was kebab everywhere. On the floor. On the seat and of course, all over me.
Luckily, it was my stop, but who the hell brings a kebab on their bag
RIP my favourite jeans, the kebab smell just won't leave :(

the good stuff

no fucking way i took the wrong picture

RIP Skabetty jeans, worn but not forgotten

even if it gets mixed results keep making music like that, its some of the best noise music ive ever listened to

lmao

Thank you, I definitely will. Ever since I listened to Kites' Royal Paint, noise has always been a crucial influence to me because he was able to convey it with beauty as opposed to horror that it's usually accompanied by. It's something that I'd like to see more in music and that can only happen by spreading the idea.

this is really good! I really love "my horticulture teacher asked if i wanna get a beer", everything from the comfy intro to your nice voice (I don't that so many will like it, but I really dig it. My midwest emo phase made me love these kinda vocals)
Seriously, real good stuff. Keep it up!!
(the guitar in "lvl.99 pidgeot" is also fantastic)

RECS
love it, very dreamy, will have to check out your full release later

I'm the dude in the band, the girlfriend does the vocals and writes half of the songs (I write the other half). We record everything ourselves.

Tips: Be yourself. There is already someone else doing Perturbator, Mitch Murder, Carpenter Brut, etc. Don't try to emulate anyone else. Go with interesting sounds that compel you and then worry about the rest. And find something that sets you apart from everyone else and then go full fucking hog on that thing--we had a girl and a piano and industrial noises and a space aesthetic, so we went in on that.

Thanks. I do have a thread where we're discussing this exact topic. But thanks for the advice and keep up the good stuff

Your font sucks! Get a new one. And consider changing the way you release things; I see you stopped using SC (I don't like it either) but Bandcamp is not really laid out for this kind of "personal journal" day by day songmaking shit. Put all three of those songs in a single EP and call it good.

IMO your production is too "thin" but I'm a guy who puts delay and chorus and overdrive on every single channel to make it deeper and fill it out. So my mileage may vary.

oh and PS don't announce where the samples are from. We've all seen Robocop and The Thing and you're (blatantly) using the artwork as well. We know dude. It's from Robocop. You don't need to tell us. We're smart cookies.

ok thanks for your tip. I didn't stop using SC I just post it on both now. But i guess you're right. I should release my daily songs on SC and compile them into an EP on BC later. I'll change the font as well ;)

Dierksimus here. I agree with . It's okay to be influenced by another artist, but it's always good to let that influence be one part of your "Musical DNA" rather than trying to "genetically copy" another artist. Otherwise people will accuse you of "ripping off" someone else's style instead of "building upon it". That being said, a huge part of synthwave is "emulation"- A major pillar of synthwave is to sound like it belongs in an 80's sci-fi/horror VHS tape. Like said: Be yourself. As long as enough of your own musical personality shines through, you can still have fun making great music that others will enjoy. Can't wait to hear more of your stuff. Cheers!

Yeah, that's the thing a lot of the artists in the scene forget, the 80s--and 80s movies--had TONS of great music of all genres. You can be New Wave or you can be glam metal. Just depends.

>Dierksimus
OMG thanks. Love your stuff man. I'll try not too dissapoint with my next release :P
I'll just try a whole load of different stuff until I find something that fits. I am still learning on how making newer and more complex synth (unlike the generic supersaw I esed in Cops). Anyway thank you and thank for all your tips

Exactly. I like Perturbator, but even though it's retro 80's dirty synth, It's a different flavor than "Dance With the Dead", (another one of my personal favorites of the genre)

theluciesband.bandcamp.com/album/it-looked-safe

hey whats up its the lucies. this album is new and piping fresh
its ghost fuzz core

wew lad that bass tone is crunchy how do you do it. love the instrumentation, not a huge fan of the voice cracking thing? but you do you. it's really well put together.

wouldn't a magnetic wave also wipe all the data off your tapes? c'mon man.
this shit reminds me of DOOM though which is tight as hell

what up WILL i don't actually know you
i like the mix on the left channel guitar.
maybe boost the trebles in your voice a bit and watch out for the s-pops. it could use some organ or keys, i think that would be cool

Dude I LOVED your first ep, it was really amazing. Here i feel way less enthusiastic, i think a lot of the energy that was on the firs got lost here. Still i can aprecciate you trying different approaches to the same idea instead of doing the same song over and over again, really nice. I can see this had a lot of work behind it and i respect you for it. Just isn't my cup of tea but it is probably someone's so keep doing your stuff.
