Is it a classic?

Is it a classic?

Yes it's actually pretty good

I think if an album still holds up long after its genre lost popularity, then it should be considered a classic.
I'm not fully convinced Hybrid Theory fits that, but I'd argue that Meteora does.

I'm not going to answer
because in the end
it doesn't even matter

It's a classic of "im 12 and my Xbox just got taken away" core

this

You posted the wrong album OP

easily a 9/10

I don't know. hybrid theory was kind of at their peak. it could definitely be considered a classic album by them, but the rock\rap style is starting to come back with bands like from ashes to new, so I don't really think it could be considered an actual classic.

>the rock/rap style is starting to come back

good kek

Papercut still gets me kinda hype if I'm being totally honest

Meteor doesn't do much of anything new. I gave it a recent listen and was disappointed on the amount of tropes Linkin Park used as a crutch to support their sophomore release

Chester Benis is my waifu

Yup. This and Meteora.

Meteora starts with good tracks like Hybrid Theory, but those emo-choirboy vocals are like nails on the chalkboard to me.

If only it wasn't for Mike Shitnoodle with his rapping and record scratching and edgy juvenile lyrics, Hybrid Theory would be considered great accessible release by most critics. Meteora went in a pretty disgusting direction

If any nu metal album is a classic, it's Toxicity. Everything else aged horribly

Around The Fur is cool

Deftones are almost as bad as Mudvayne. Even when I wore jncos I didn't like them

it actually is, look at 21p

unquestionably, regardless of how good you think it is

sgt peppers, itcotkc, a lot of zappa or nebraska arguably aged horribly, too, that doesn't not make them classics

You clearly don't know the meaning of the phrase
