Now that we have it... What does it all mean?

Any overarching themes or anything?

its over Joseph won

there is none. as much as i love swans, these albums are usually nonsense that sounds cool and sounds cohesive. that said, it's not a bad thing that there really is no significant narrative and is just meant to sound connotatively written. gira himself has no real answer when asked about the narratives of these albums. it's usually just vague and something about the universe.

The Seer is an album with spoopy lyrics and spoopy sounds. To Be Kind is about love and human nature. The Glowing Man is a career retrospective. You can go deeper but not too much deeper.

pretty colors go together

Why isn't Soundtracks apart of this?

Because it's completely irrelevant? 'My father' has more to do with these.

Found a theme
>let's make a country of faggots
>and queer up the whole damn world

This review was on TGM before it came out, don't know how much of it is bullshit, but it's pretty neat.

It's the most fedora thing I've ever read.

Are you blind? Gira 'has no answer' because artists don't like signposting the meaning of their work to their audience...look up david lynch's views on this. No themes? Just off the top of my head; 'Screen shot'- the possibility of transcendence ("no pain, no death, no suffering") 'Oxygen'- michael wrote this about his near death experience with asthma. 'Frankie M'- written as a tribute to michaels friend who is a drug addict. 'Some things we do' is literally just the human condition "we forget. we regret. we love".

Holy shit

Pre-life, life, post-life

uhg, nu-swans is the worst meme

Do you people seriously enjoy this protracted nonsense?

The Seer is hell, To Be Kind is earth, The Glowing Man is heaven

Is hating "the new" Swans the new meme around here.

damn...

>1996
>2012
>2014
>2016
Wonder why.

>another swans thread

Soundtracks is the career retrospective.

>2010: the mortal man is changing...

"My Father" is the pre-suicide.

One of the most important rock bands release a follow up album to two of the most well received albums of the decade and a music discussion board is talking about it.
Can you imagine?

Fuck off frog

>One of the most important rock bands
kek'd

>durrr "kek"
>I'm a very smart frogposter

Eden Prison has the best story ever told in their entire discography.

I like swans but you sound a little too excited for this
