Back in 2008 when e6c did that surprise tour in the fall was the peak of my neutral milk hotel fandom, I was 14. My dad is fuckin awesome and drove me out to lexington to go to the show at the round barn, I accidentally stepped on Jeff's shoe cause I got bumped by someone in front of me and he was like oh sorry man and i turned my head and realized who it was and stared in disbelief and didnt say anything. Julian was giving out a prize to one person at each show and I won it, it was a kazoo with a collage he had made on it.
It was one of the greatest nights of my life f a m
I really need to listen to the second imaginary symphony for cloud making again. It literally moved me to tears.
(Nigh is jeffs middle name)
Any recommendations as to what to listen to after In The Aeroplane Over The Sea?
On Avery island and everything is for more distorted sounds. Ferris wheel on fire for acoustic guitar. Unknown demo one and two for unique but unpolished works. The other demos have a lot of Jeff goofing around and experimenting, they have some really good pieces, but can be a bit of an acquired taste.
Thank ya pal
I...I heard that album called In teh Aeroplane over the Sea
Sup Forums told me to listen to it when I came here, I really liked it :D
It was on the Sup Forums core chart, i think it's a masterpiece
But I haven't heard anything else by them :(
Jeff Mangum is awesome btw :3
>implying it isn't a masterpiece
>implying he isn't awesome
listen to THIS
Be sure to do on a very island. The rest are fairly optional if nothing particularly stands out to you. Much of the other work Is earlier versions of songs on the albums or variations on them.
Yeah dude stop recording xfdddddd
ahahahaha
Why am I being part of the problem ?
>Beauty
>Everything Is
>Hype City
>Optional
puh-lease
Heaven forbid he misses "Noisy Racket." Truly, Jeff's mangum opus.
So do any of you guys think we'll get any more LPs/EPs or tours in the future? I'd love to hear more from Jeff even as a solo artist but I'm not very hopeful.
maybe as a marketing thing. post humous maybe?
>posthumous
Don't make me think these things user
its a shitty situation but i can imagine them actually marketing jeff's death to his fans
>tfw when you slept on this forever and only listened to ITAOTS a month ago
will I ever see them live Sup Forumstants? further disadvantage: not in America
Britfag here, hope they tour again because the shows look so chilled.
>you will never have a recording company with your buddies
