Anybody got any collections or recent purchases?

There's a Beach House cassette with S/T on side A and Devotion on side B that they're selling on their tour but they aren't coming to my city, if anyone would want to sell me one I'd gladly buy.
also, I'd kill for a copy of pic related, discogs rarely ever has them

i don't understand why an obsolete and inferior format is making such a comeback

...

Got a shit ton of Bob Marley cassettes from my dad
Will post pic in a moment

They were in my shed for a while

Some have water damage and some sound really bad but most of them are 80% OK to listen to

finally got my order for la forêt rouge in the mail the other day.

Haven't gotten anything in a while, need to change that
I'm sort of picky

Last purchase

what album is that?

albur! 0.02

You know, I knew this would happen.
I don't understand why, like mentions.

Seriously cassette's are shit-tier. At least vinyl can make the excuse that they sound different. Cassette's are garbage. It's like having a laserdisc collection. You don't gain anything from them. They're a transitionary format that was really bad even when they were new.

I know, people are retarded for getting into vinyl

where'd you find the tape? it's not on their bandcamp page

you dont deserve those trips, btw cassettes measure better than vinyl

Yeah who the fuck even buys CDs when we've known for decades how poorly mastered they are?

Just ordered this tape, pretty excited to get it. Some good jangle rock.

I bought it in a little record store in Barcelona, fairly cheap

that tape is pretty cute

that's pretty rad dude! i don't live near anywhere where they sell new tapes

You bought them because they were cheap. They were cheap and you could carry them anywhere. like cassettes. Then you dumped them once MP3 players became cheap enough, and finally phones.

No shit they do. Vinyl just has a very specific sound because of its construction, not because of fidelity. Don't be mad because trips speak truth. It's like collecting VHS tapes. Shit quality done purely out of a weird nostalgia bent like using polaroid cameras to feel edgy about being pre-internet.

>vinyl sounds more shit, so its better

>vinyl sounds more shit, so its better
Notice I didn't say better, just that it has a specific sound, which is why people buy into it. At least vinyl collectors have an excuse.

stop fighting about how dumb tapes are
we all know tapes are shit, but it's just sort of fun to have them
usually helps support the artists you buy from too

k, fag
cassettes are better than vinyl, educate yourself

Cassettes are fun and a lot of small artists only release on tape.

I have the best cassette collection here but fuck man, its out in the garage.

Do you have source of that Beach House tape?

Yeah but see, anymore there are two classes of vinyl collectors:

*Those of us that have been doing it for decades.

*Those that just started and buy their records from Best Buy and Guitar Center.

i found this image in the archive, and beach house themselves have tweeted about it
i seriously need one

Waiting on my ferraro cassette :/

and i'm waiting for sweet trip to release a new album

nice! never heard my boy bobby on cassette

recently got mista thug isolation, governement plates and some jodeci

I just got govt. plates too.

>ordered and recieved last of a limited cassette release
There is no feel that comes quite close

Bump

Tapes have a specific sound as well.

...

Just got Violent Storm's "Celtic Warrior" on cassette in the post today.

Which is odd because I ordered it on CD. Eh.

Wish we got all of the magnetic fields albums on tape.
The ones that are are rare as fuck

got these semi recently

wat do u guys use for ur player

>GROB

Props.

I've got Пoгaнaя мoлoдeжь on tape.

there any good new cassette tape decks? all goodwills in my area shut down

I managed to get Exmillitary on cassette.

I have like four or five various boomboxes from different times in my life. They're in different parts of my house so I can play shit whenever or take one with me somewhere,

the rest of the tapes are from his side project.

Grob is fantastically underrated tho.

literally every single one of you arguments can be used to defend cassettes. They're an inconvenient, cool and nostalgic artistic gimmick that some people like, just like vinyl. I personally like them more.

Literal definition of hipster. Jesus fuck.

Could someone give me an amazon link to a good cord to function as a line in for a D6C? Planning on using my desktops line out. Many options for the cable, would like to have something somebody has already tried.
