Anyone care to share some prime harpsichord pieces? I used to hate the sound of it but after listening to this with some good headphones it finally clicked for me and now I want to listen to more.
This score for this thing was held under lock and key by the vatican because it was so fucking magical

Even if it's just orchestral accompaniment, it's pretty freaking good.
Brandenburg Concerto No 5 the one with with the deer
first 39 seconds I liked then it went weird.
I really like Scott Ross as far as performers go.
I also like Couperin (fun to play a well). Here's both

I like this performance of the Goldberg Variations

Should have prefaced by saying that it was a concert based on Django Reinhardt's music. I loved the hell out of the transition at :39, but can understand why that would throw a good handful of people off.
Scarlatti is good on harpsichord and piano.

the first Couperin piece sounds really nice, so far I have Rameau, Couperin and Scarlatti as harpsichord composers to listen to
555 sonatas, was he trying to make some numerological statement
Lately I've also been getting into early music stuff mainly via Jordi Savall's works which are quite interesting, love the medieval and spanish flavor of the compositions. The use of castanets, tambourines and guitars are quite refreshing.
idc what anyone says i love kempff
Hello /classical/
Can someone please tell me if this chip tune makes use of counterpoint, especially after the 15 second mark?

thanks
>not /classical/ music
Could have easily asked /comp/.
It's not strict counterpoint, but yes. Since the NES Nintendo music has always had varying degrees of classical influence.

Op. 13, Op. 53, and Op. 111 are GOAT, my nigs.
Dis is the good stuff. Also, Tchaikovsky is always good.
