Fuck rym
who's the girl:)
piss thread
rym threads belong in the grave
guys, stop the hardboiledbabe posting.
do you know what is really going on here?
it's all mauricio's (aka couldnvrlisten) doing.
for months he has been particularly hostile towards her.
mae (aka daisiesfree) hates her for taking her afrobeat and minimal synth gimmicks and taking them to a self-mocking degree of dilettantism.
mauricio knew all along who hbb really was, he was the one who posted the video to mock her and the one who has been doxxing her all along. they're trying to use you to get hbb out of rym and possibly drive her to suicide.
he told me all of this on slsk.
now i'm telling you.
hello everyone! i need feedback. how can i make myself more annoying and cunty?
Copy Montie's and bold's style
You already messed up by having an account with a troll name in the first place. You could do much better with a less obvious name.
Rate all the avant-teen albums low, rate generic pop music high.
This is a good idea but he should have some avant-teen album in his 5.0s to make people mad
post in emoe
redpill me on mauricio
rateyourmusic is for rating music
no
too difficult. i'm bad at pretending to actually be retarded
yeah, i probably should have thought this through more. i just really like writing stupid, pretentious reviews
gross
this was me i swear
>write as many reviews as possible
>pan every "RYMcore" album, every album avant-teens like (feldman, eastman, otomo yoshihide, the list can go on) and every meme rap album
>have edgy opinions and rate positively stuff no one otherwise likes (for example jason aldean)
>have this condescending attitude like youre superior to everyone
>post a lot on forums and insult (but in a "polite" way that isnt going to get you banned) as many RYM celebrities as possible
>change your name
Yea dumbass
what genre is the background music in this
>mae (aka daisiesfree) hates her for taking her afrobeat and minimal synth gimmicks
>her
lol, hbb was into both things before daisiesfree even started talking to brown people
Reminder that Boldfaure is a bumdiddler who is the worst thing to happen to RYM. The montieboys will take him out and he will go down. BKB is the most based man.
Also Destroyer is pretty good, the piano tracks especially but the soft acoustic tracks are meh
A person who listened to 1,000 albums in a year is no more correct than a person who listened to 10. Both individuals are having a good experience with a record, and goodness is always in the eye of the beholder.
The worst song of the year, however, is not subjective. It just is. And expertise is required to know what it is. You have to hear a lot of bad to discover the worst. Otherwise, you might mistakenly identify a really terrible track as the most terrible track.
fruitbae?
>Reminder that Boldfaure is a bumdiddler who is the worst thing to happen to RYM
This tho. Stop the diddler.
oh sorry
you're both retards who need to leave
>rym threads are finally dying
hooray
just a reminder that people unironically act like Montie and boldfaure
bossa nova influenced shibuya kei
for those days when you're fifth in line at wal mart and some asshole's at the cash register causing a fit over the price of some batteries and acting like an annoying store policy is the cashier's fault and the cashier's chewing gum and apologizing and lifting the little phone/intercom thingy to call the manager and making a visible effort not to scream in the asshole's face or throw a punch or just break down crying and somehow the whole thing triggers one of one of those moments where you're almost deliriously aware of the utter futility of it all
oh, that's never happened to you before? well.
Isn't it from Sonic 06?
Sonemic fucking when?
april. now stop asking
Nice damage control for that hiroshima level BTFO you just got.
Reminder that these are better than any of your "classical essentially" BS
How?
you mean the same releases you haven't listened to yourself right
Because you literally say "Ay yo dis rawk album is classical essentially so it gets a 5.5 because classical music is OBJECTIVELY better than other pop music"
You are like a bitter old guy, Jesus.
Im ragging on him for saying classical music is a 5.5 just because its fucking classical
Since boldfaure and montie are going to shit up every RYM thread with their arguing i propose a solution
i declare the formation of the International Meme Party
who's with me???
>Because you literally say "Ay yo dis rawk album is classical essentially so it gets a 5.5 because classical music is OBJECTIVELY better than other pop music"
No, how is OK Computer better than any of the classical music?
have you SEEN her 8tracks playlists? she was into some pleb ass shit when mae was already droning mauricio. shit, look at these
8tracks.com
as suburban white as a thanksgiving dinner with her family lol
>You are like a bitter old guy, Jesus.
everyone is old to you, you fucking 17 year old
Montie, Sal and Boldfaure all need to FUCK OFF
upvote if you agree
rateyourmusic.com
he only attached that tag to releases he gave 5 stars to anyway
how fucking stupid are you
+1
...
And so Montie ran away again.
He starts like all of these arguments and always runs away.
Like why does he even bother
I have fun with this because I assume he's not serious but if he's honestly butthurt this much...Christ.
i've had conversations with him on skype before over mic and his convictions over shit that riles him up is pretty convincing. he's not smart enough to be an elaborate troll anyway
IDK I try to have this image of like we're both shitposting at each other and aren't actually too serious but no, Montie's just legitimately an immature kid with autism or something.
fuck's sake.
but whatever maybe I'll write some music
I didint run away, I literally was doing other shit rather than sitting on Sup Forums all day.
Really? Whats your skype so I can post it here for everyone to add you?
what a great day
>I literally was doing other shit rather than sitting on Sup Forums all day.
lolwut? I've been on here an hour, kid.
>only being on here for an hour
what a normie
lolling at thred
hey boldfaure, mind enlightening us on your interpretation of The Ark Work as promised earlier?
How many profile views do y'all have?
honestly he just really wants to fit in but he knows deep down this isn't the place for him, but he's already comfortable so why not stick around and maybe even push things further and further, getting into shit with people he has no business getting into.
in other words, he's 16.
Thanks for reminding me 1sec!
Fucking you have been here all day
Hey why are avant teen eai/free improv diehards always so ignorant of the careers of jazz artists like Charles Mingus and Charlie Parker despite the fact that improvisation as we know it today inarguably wouldn't even exist without them?
Because they're enjoyed by normies unlike tako umami or whatever?
nice devil trips
more embarrassing is lumping all forms of improv together
nice lottery trips use the winnings to buy some taste
Here is a pic of Boldfaure.
He is a BUMDIDDLER
everyone likes mingus you clueless fuck, black saint is fully rymcore
So just to make it clear, I don't understand 100% of Hunter's philosophy and I think that expecting that would be absurd.
That being said, if you refer back to his original Black Metal manifesto, he talks about how Transcendental Black Metal is "superior" to standard Black Metal because regular Black Metal relies upon consistent oceans of sound and chords. It does this to promise an exultant, pinnacle of emotional catharsis...but Hunter notes that as this ocean of sound is sustained without variation, the effect is lost. The sense of catharsis is impeded by the fact that there is no break of affect in order to reinforce it. So what Hunter was doing in Aesthethica was making Black Metal with more breaks, both in rhythm and in dynamics. Note High Gold: youtu.be
Its prominent stepwise progression each time means to reinforce the brilliant G-major, both by interrupting the stream of sound and drumming but also by simply acting as a dominant to it. Also consider Returner: youtube.com

>I don't understand 100% of Hunter's philosophy and I think that expecting that would be absurd
hunter likes dogs
whats hard to understand?
the strain of improv inherent to EAI derives from the lineage of AMM, MEV et al which departed from pre-existing idioms
so it isn't really necessary at all to have a deep familiarity with those jazz musicians (not to say they weren't great and important in their own respects)
trips of truth status:
[x]Checked
That's asinine, Keith Rowe said himself mingus's recordings with dolphy were integral to creation the music of AMM
HHH's approach with The Ark Work then was to go beyond the fundamentals/basic aesthetics (Aesthethica) and fully incorporate a transcendental reaction to the music.
Consider this quote:
>“The album is not about this cosmology, but by developing this cosmology, I was able to make the album,” he says. “I didn’t make a record that tells a story; it’s a story that tells a record. I wanted to make the most important thing possible—to invent a new philosophy that goes with a new music and a new way of making art and living life.”
The Ark Work is basically about redefining not just Black Metal anymore, but also music in general through its radical fusions of genre. Through the combination of all these juxtapositions in affect, culture, etc. Hunter hopes to promote a wider understanding and appreciation of them, as well as how they all are interconnected.
Do you think he succeeded in his artistic goal, though?
damn I missed trips
Now as for the diagram, note how Aesthethica feeds into both of the other images for Reign Array and Kel Valhaal. These tracks on the album sound entirely different: Reign Array is classical finale while Kel Valhaal is a Renaissance dance. But each of these disparate approaches, the more rhythmic and dancing and the more harmonic and grand, are informed by Aesthethica.
As for the rest of it, IDK.
I think it's hard for me to say, as a person who was already informed of these styles. I had the effect of recognizing all the disparate influences he was using and appreciating the greatness of the endeavor.
I think in the broad culture HHH has at least posed a very interesting question, that continues to puzzle listeners. Great art is never supposed to be immediately accessible. Look at Boulez' Le Marteau:
Despite having been published in 1954 and 1957, analysts were unable to explain Boulez's compositional methods until Lev Koblyakov in 1977 (Heinemann 1998, 72).
>rym false trying to talk about black metal
>thinking he has any valid opinions on the genre or a voice that should be heard
Get the fuck out of here.
it's funny that despite all that, the record sounds like absolute garbage
i seriously can't listen to it without laughing at how bad it is
I TURN YR ASHES TO GOLD
YOU REPAY ME WITH VITRIOL
boldfaure try listening to actual black metal for once and you'll understand that HHH's delusions of his music being some grand leap from the genre are unfounded
for starters, try:
Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse
Immortal - Pure Holocaust
Sacramentum - Far Away From the Sun
Put your trip back on.
I'm not very interested in discussing subjective opinions about it anymore.
I listened to In the Nightside Eclipse and was bored to tears.
I sympathized rather than was repulsed with his original manifesto. It said everything I was already thinking about black metal from the "classics" I had heard from it.
>I listened to In the Nightside Eclipse and was bored to tears.
then you're a fucking false and need to leave the hall
youtube.com
i need to clean my head after reading that bullshit
>then you're a fucking false
Are you fucking sorry
HHH's "philosophy" is pseud shit for pseuds
See Montie that's how you talk about music.
I'm guessing you were "paid" for one review, they laughed at what you produced, and then got rid of you.
>subjective opinions
>in rym
>in this thread
call the cops
Hey boldfaure, what do you rate based off of, if I may ask? I'm legitimately curious.
Some people rate based on pure enjoyment, some replayability, or a mix of those and other things. Some poseurs rate based off of obscurity. Some classical critics rate based solely off of composition technique and performance skill.
But what do you rate based off of? I'm assuming it's a mix of some or most of the above but what are the most important factors and how much do they influence your ratings?
Black metal isn't for pathetic scum such as yourself. Stop appropriating it for your shirty "art" image. It's plain and simple hatred and detestation of trendy falses such as yourself.
No, you're an idiot that needs to leave like you were told to. Monroe doesn't pretend to know anything about things he is unknowledgable in.
big wario fan
Ratings for 2.5-4.0 are just straight level of enjoyment
2.5 = I dislike it and I don't understand why others like it
3.0 = I dislike it and I understand why others like it
3.5 = I like it, but don't particularly care for it
4.0 = I love it, but wouldn't call it "Essential"
The essentials are basically what I consider the canon for classical and popular music: the closest to a linear timeline of musical development.
Major works and albums are 5.0, while works and albums that led to less significant (but still important) developments are 4.5
And of course I have to really like it in order to put it up that high in the first place, so there's also that.
thank
hysterical
