Just came over from Sup Forums to find Sup Forums appropriate for this joyous occasion.

Long live Briton .

Now that Britain has finally uncucked itself, what's your favourite British composer?

Sheppard, White, and Purcell here.

Britain's best composer was a German.

CLT please.

...

Really makes you think.

John Browne. Underrated composer. One of the best the Renaissance period.

>I can't believe the government would leave this decision to the general public

I can't wait for the Sup Forums memes to come in.

>Tallis
>Byrd

Delius

>eh doesn't like harmonic wanking

>literally preludes and fugues: the making of

I listened to Glenn Gould's English suites (Bach) but I couldn't hear him humming. Are my earbuds shit or is my hearing fucked up?

still literally better than anything else shostakovich has composed.

oh i don't disagree

They didn't edit any of the humming out and when Glenn was allowed to hum freely he did it so perfectly that you don't ever perceive it.

And can't forget Holst's good friend, Ralf Vaugan Williams :^) youtube.com/watch?v=Dis3J3VaASE

Thanks for sharing, enjoyed it.

His last quartet is the best thing he ever wrote.
