My band, we're pretty obscure but we will be making waves in around 3 years.

They were a great band. Their second album, Spilt Milk, is near perfect.

Wow they sound like shit.

It's called practice and rehearsal. Also the bass player really helps with that. You listen to the bass player and he'll tell you what key to be singing in, and you don't necessarily have to have the 'correct' notes all the time because if you're singing in key and it sounds good, that's what really matters unless you're in a classical setting, and then it just boils down to memorization. BTW your ability to memorize repertoire will grow with time and if you take your ear training lessons/course, it makes memorizing way easier. But a good singer can take a look at the sheet, go through it once or twice, and then have it completely fucking memorized off the top of their head.

As far as general musician. This guy blows everyone in this thread out of the water. Accomplished pianist, drummer, and vocals and he's incredible at all of them.

a punk band called snuff do it:

he's got a ropey voice by design tbf, but double time drums while he's singing in tune never fails to impress me

Can't stand Post-Gabriel Genesis, but Phil Collins is a beast.
