A Weezer demo from 1993 has just been dropped in high quality by way of a dude from a message board that bought an original pressing cassette and ripped it to his comp. A compact version of this thing, known as the Kitchen Tapes, does exist in much lower and brickwalled quality on the deluxe edition for the Blue album, but this is the real deal. For those of you who like Weezer, I would HEAVILY recommend you check this out.
Weezer - Opposite Sides of the Same Good Ol' Fence (1993)
1. Say It Ain't So 2. The World Has Turned And Left Me Here 3. Paperface 4. Undone (The Sweater Song) 5. Thief, You've Taken All That Was Me 6. My Name Is Jonas 7. Let's Sew Our Pants Together 8. Only In Dreams
How in the world did they get so tight between this and Blue? This is good but their groove is so slackerish. Must have been a lot of practice even disregarding the difference in production sheen.
Joseph Collins
Which one of you was this?
Juan Ward
I FUCKING LOVE WEEZER
I'm sorry but it feels really good to be able to say this without some shame given they are back making great music.
I know this is decades old but it's just reminding me why I love them and always have because this sounds excellent
Brandon Russell
It's nice to see some actual excitement and passion for a band on this board.
I think a lot more of Sup Forums has a soft spot for weezer than admit it
Brandon Jones
Fuck yes, old raw weezer. Thanks, op.
David Garcia
Rivers vocals are fucking wild and that World Has Turned solo
My dick
Ayden Russell
You aren't alone my friend. I just saw them last week in Tampa and they are so awesome live
Isaiah Harris
Does anyone have the lyrics for the sweater song demo? All I can find are the lyrics for the blue version.
Brayden Hughes
>I think a lot more of Sup Forums has a soft spot for weezer than admit it Weezer is discussed a LOT on Sup Forums, most of the time very positively.
Hudson Gray
wow
Alexander Sullivan

Jack Taylor
Fucking saved.
Julian Wood
They're a very famous band and two of the songs on the tape had never been bootlegged or released. Now that they have, future copies probably won't go for quite as much.
Angel Sullivan
Who /plaidshorts/ here?
Carson Cook

That's not bad at all for a thread with multiple conversation chains
Then again this is bait and I took it, fuck me right?
Ian Bennett
Weezer is almost always shit on on here, besides the occasional discussion on The Blue Album and Pinkerton. But even then they are considered pretty entry level.
I thought that not only was it pretty good but it proves that the reason Weezer doesn't make music like the Blue Album/Pinkerton anymore is that Rivers doesn't want to, not because he can't
Elijah Roberts
>Say It Ain't So >he doesn't yell "WRESTLE WITH JIMMY, just kinda mumbles it 0/10, wouldn't listen to again
Alexander Walker
Brilliant album and more importantly a genuine album through and through. I usually defend Weezer's middle catalog but there's no denying Rivers wasn't writing it for himself or weezer fans but to get new fans.
White was for Rivers, and it showed. EWBAITE was for Weezer fans.
Andrew Lewis
today op was a cool guy
Oliver Collins
yea i liked it, 9/10 personally but im a whore for weezer so people may have different opinions
Aiden Lopez
>favorite song from post-Pinkerton Weezer excluding EWBAITE and White

Burndt Jamb Maladroit is massively underrated, their best behind Blue and Pinkerton imo

Blake Bailey
They're great by themselves, but yeah, they're one of the few deluxe editions I feel add a lot of depth to the album, I'd say some of the best songs on Pinkerton were outtakes (Longtime Sunshine and Tragic Girl in particular)
Ayden Smith
fuck I forgot to add the demo this thread is literally about I feel retarded
Owen Rogers
Just wish the vocals on Jamie were a bit louder and it would be one of my favorite weezer songs.
Aaron Gonzalez
