You had a golden opportunity to meme and you didn't.
The World Looks Red / The World Looks Black is mine.
Frankie m
Frankie M. That buildup sends me to another place and I can't fucking wait to hear it live.
The glowing man is my personal favorite. I feel like the whole album is building up to that song.
Just for you memers
Don't want to be that guy but Frankie M was really much better live. It's still good but could have been better, Gira kinda fucked that up I think.
How did he fuck it up?
Frankie M was by far my least favorite track from the album. I really feel like I'm missing something, track lengths have never been an issue for me with SWANS so it isn't that. I just found it incredibly boring, and I hate Gira's singing on it.
>listening to music on your phone
the glowing man.
The drums are different in the intro. Too much female vocals. His singing is different, although this would be fine if everything was the same as the live version.
He really figured out the ending nicely though. In the live version it just ends prematurely, I really liked the Branca-esque outro on the album version.
>doesnt listen to music in a convenient way
probably the glowing man. I was skeptical how they would change it on the album, but i think they made it just as good as the live recording. I got chill the first few times I heard the IM A GLOWING MAN part. The piano was a good addition
Is it just me or is TGM a cross between soundtracks and TBK?
Ha. That's actually pretty accurate desu.
>tfw another album like The Seer will never be made again
this :(
Can someone explain this meme to me?
there's an 'audio error' at that time (the cymbal cuts out).
it might just be a cymbal mute and not a error though.
WHERE THE FUCK IS BLACK HOLE MAN
GIRA YOU FUCK
Honestly i didnt hear anything, its just dank memes to discredit the light 9 fantano gave it
Cloud of Unknowing may be my favorite Swans song ever. The revving at the beginning, then the chanting/drum fuckery, then finally that pounding crescendo. That high AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH around 16 minutes in gives me chills every time I hear it.
Whole album is great though, only parts I'm not crazy about are People Like Us and the beginning of Frankie M.
>those 5-10 minutes of Thor Harris drone gonging as his fellow bandmates walk on stage and wield their instruments.
Still, the studio version is pretty goat. I love the poppy female hums at the climax of the song. It managed to freak me out, though, when my dog started barking at random places.
was memed to death even before he posted the review
Torn between Cloud of Unknowing and the title track. The DA-DUH DA-DUH DA-DUH DA-DUH part in the title track makes me feel invincible when I listen to it at the gym.
I'd say it's the weakest "big" song. The first half feels a little aimless, then the actual song isn't that special. Just kind of weak compared to beasts like CoU and TGM where every second is meaningful.
Wait... There's a dog in there!?!??
No, MY dog. Like around my room and at the door. Wigg'd me the fuck out.
