It's from my C U T E folder. Here is some more C U T E.
You start with the 4 seasons (vivaldi) to reel you in a bit, then listen to Bach.
What are good books about classical music?
Does anyone here know?
the classical style by charles rosen
Thanks user
The height of western music was discovered in the oratorio.
Start with Bach's St. Matthäus-Passion then work your way from Monteverdi to Stravinsky.
Listen to Mozart
Praetorius, Gluck and Froberger.
Listen to Beethoven's symphonies, especially 5,6,7 and 9

Whatever you do, do not waste your time with Berlioz. He is a terrible composer. None of his works will show any sign of talent
We need more Karen
i would start with babby tier artists and then work my way to more difficult pieces/composers. satie is great for beginners, so are most solo piano compositions. here's a great one:

Personally I see nothing wrong with the label if it's applied to pieces like Debussy's Three Nocturnes and Estampes but feel free to disagree. I included /"Impressionism" because I understand that it's a point of contention and is often used as a misnomer for things that sound like Debussy.
