They should call this, "Poor man's Soundtracks for the Blind"

...

You can't even compare the two, they are completely different albums.

It doesn't sound like soundtracks for the blind though, at all.

ur rite thx

They don't sound the same and are different albums OP

...

...

Let me be the first to get this outta the way:

Soundtracks = annoying as fuck
LYSF = Bliss

Pleb detected.

SFTB is a true 10/10. Keep listening to it, I didn't like it at first but it has since become one of my favorites.

IS THIS A COUNTER BAIT?

Damnit...not another album I have to be frustrated with the first 5 listens and then give up and then come back to it and love it.

>emotionally complex atmosphere, gets pretty sad and ominous, sometimes happy in a bittersweet way
>post-rock with huge creschendos
>random samples and field recordings of people talking and more
>pretty minimal/ambient at times

OP is right
The only difference is that SFTB does so much more

I sure love those tracks on LYSF like yum yam killers and volcano!

>post-rock with huge creschendos
This describes a single track out of 26 on SFTB. It's an experimental rock album with one proto-post-rock song.

>"creshendos"
>mfw

LYSF: 10
STFB: 9

a bait post that's bait. So meta

>he didn't listen to the copper disc
You're forgetting "The Sound." And "Animus" for that matter.

Both of those songs take a completely different approach to post rock than anything on LYSF.

The Sound was what I was thinking of, I wouldn't consider Animus or Helpless Child (that one's debatable) post-rock

How can it be a "poor man's" anything when they cost about the same?
