Strange House is still an okay album though, but I can understand their reasons for distancing themselves from it.

Why do they do that? Not that it bothers me, I'm just curious. The hair is a little over the top. Are they being ironic? I'm like 4 songs in. Sea Within A Sea probably my favorite so far.

they kinda dropped that image after their first album but it sticked with them and maybe kept people from listening to their music post strange house
Because that's not how they look now, they are still somewhat post punk/dark looking but they dont look like emo/goths anymore, that was only for the first album
