the 90s in general were ugly

I like that prodigy cover. It's like 'INCREDIBLY FAST CRAB RUNNING AT INCREDIBLY FAST SPEED.'

now that i think about it this should've been an ITT

Screaming Crab is a good cover, fits the music

this cover is pretty cool

...

I actually love this cover

perfect

Why do edgelord girls nowadays use 90's aesthetics ironically like wearing Marilyn Manson shirts
and dancing to come come m'lady - crazy town

>Tfw that crab is probably dead now

lmao

excuse me?

This meme was never that funny, and especially so with Montie

I love this album cover, it just reminds me of the best time of my childhood so well.

Every summer we would go to my families batch and me and my brother would go down to the rock pools and put two crabs into this perfectly round bowl in a rock and make them fight, they would looks exactly like this crab and I swear every damn time my cool uncle would roll up cranking the album in his green ford escort that had the two back seats taken out for subs.

We were pretty well off and this happened every summer until my parents moved from growing/smoking weed into heavy drugs/needles and shit and lost our home and all our money and we had to move town to escape some problems. I think they ripped off some family members too because I didn't go back to the batch for like 10 years.

The lame part is now the great uncle who owned the batch has divorced his wife and married some young thai gold digger, so these days when I visit there's always like 10 asians (her extended family) crowding the place up hunting all the crabs, they have jars in the kitchen filled with em. I've returned to look for the crabs a couple times in my 20s but I never find any, the crabs have all gone along with my innocence.

im so sorry

So you're saying your uncles Thai hooker family has crabs?

that crab is dead now

That's a good cover, argueably the best album cover in The Prodigy's discography

>obvs
that cover is great fuck you

JUST

yeah, album quality aside the cover of Jilted Generation is horrible compared to it

makes u think

5 / 7 / 6 / 3 / 9

didn't read, nobody cares

montie steals another meme and ruins it oh boy

Kek what?

damn...

cause they are dumb

>that crab is dead now

feels bad man

rip crabbos

>shit typography
>that black box tangent to the flames
>crap vertical balance

the drawing is cool and pretty timeless though

But what about this

They're fighting each other in valhalla now.

You and me both friend.

...

Photoshop was new

wait a fucking second

There were some cool covers.

That crab picture makes me feel awful.

(You)

:(
Poor crabbo

The 90's were like if the mid 70's lasted ten years.

Absolutely EVERYTHING was ugly in the 90's. What a shit-show of a decade.

Based

it was purposefully anti-aesthetic though. everyone was burned out from 80s excesses.

>That picture.
I haven't felt genuine repulsion in awhile, thanks.

even bowie, one of the coolest men to walk the earth, didn't look cool in the 90's

>that dave grohl look

why would francis ever think denim jacket and denim pants would be comfortable? it also looks extremely uncomfortable

i miss y2k aesthetic but absolutely nothing else

story of this pic?

Is that man in the top left corner holding a doll or a child? Either way it looks creepy. Got that vacant, dead expression.

10/10

it was after a concert where all of these artists made an appearance. I believe it was a David Bowie show and most of these people were guests.

that's thurston moore and his daughter i think

I thought it might be him. His daughter is scary.

GREAT album, horrible album cover (knowing Beck, this was definitely on purpose)

holy poop

shut up, montie

life imitates art

Maybe not

not exactly bad but it isn't good either

>90's Album art is bad

>liquid swords and illmatic have good covers

This wasn't

That would explain the vacant and dead expression

holy shit i never put these together until now

thanks

neither is this

only actually good cover in thread

rest are either bad or neither bad/good

...

Shitty but colorful "artsy" photo
That one is good
black kid looking disappointed with life
stolen art from a classic dead Japanese artist
shitty comic book-art ass cover

bad examples

but user illmatic's cover is regarded as a masterpiece even today

neither is this

>tfw that crab might still be among us

FFFUUUUUCCK
even foetus' art got shit in the 90's
look at this fucking abomination

you can't beat this for horrendous 90s art on an otherwise good album

oops

...

>nobody has posted any good art itt
C'mon guys it aint that hard. There must be what, hundreds of albums released in the 90s.

all the albums released by artists that started in the 80s/70s usually had shit album covers in the 90s. Maybe they just badly adapted to the times.

art world was enamored of awkward, asymmetrical, outsider/naive art. lots of artfags in music, like the beatles were in the 60s, from then until today, esp. in the 80s

It's beautiful.
Probably my favorite.

just seeing this cover makes me nauseous
please, just don't

...

...

Such a nice logo and such shit cover art.

Really nobody thought of this? It's at least good as an allegory for life

...

holy kek

WE AT THE HOTEL MOTEL HOLIDAY INN

fun fact: that cover was actually designed by Yamataka Eye from the Boredoms

so yes, it was definitely on purpose

I'm actually triggered at how many bad memories and terrible music this reminds me of

but user, that came out two and a half years ago

>tfw that crab might have been caught and eaten by some person that didn't even know the crab was more famous than they'll ever be

nah he probably died fighting pointy fish near his cave

>Photo perfectly encapsulates the sound of the album
>not even gonna argue the Nas one. Just go look at the Wikipedia page
>you can't use art from other sources for albums
>Again, album cover packs a huge amount of information about the album/artist into one image. GZA's themes of Kung-Fu, chess, and urban violence

...

>reference.com/pets-animals/long-crabs-live-4e03d8a4c1741401
OH SHIT WADDUP

>It's at least good as an allegory for life

its facile and sophomoric. god those guys were such shit.

beep beep best 90's album cover coming through
