ITT: Albums you wish were only instrumental
The vocals are the best part though

I agree with op, they ruin it for me
Literally the worst opinion I've seen all day
drums are the best part though. It's sad that doesn't sound as bright in the mix as their previous releases

Terrible opinions exist mate. Like this one, for example
Jesus Christ dude
This is the worst opinion I have ever seen in my life

I used to think this when I first heard it.
Eventually his pitchy style grew on me and I love it now
Hunter Hendrix's vocals remind me of Yung Lean but in a good way
Any trap album
No no no no.

seconding this, that angry donald duck vocals disappoints me
Nearly all metal. I just want to hear some good playing, not some angsty tuneless yelling. also pic related
If vocals are well-done in metal they can add a layer of texture and play into the rhythm nicely. Can keep the songs rooted too; instrumental metal usually has to get into the overly-technical zone to keep things interesting. Some well-done harsh vox can be as great as the best clean vocals depending on the music.
>angsty
it's angry most of the time
>tuneless
there are plenty of pitched vocals, and many different frequencies at which people vocalize in metal
>yelling
"no"
Velvet Underground & Nico
Pretty much any Bones tape. The production in his music is top notch and has a very dark atmosphere. Unfortunately Bones can't rap about something that isn't backwoods and his switch blade.
The lyrics actually help make this album incredible.
