AOTY

i just made a chart for the last thread but it died before i had a chance to post it. so let's try another aotysf thread. i've mostly been paying attention to black metal, but there have been several other releases i've enjoyed. (yes ep's count too)

post your charts/albums and shit on eachother's tastes

Old Chart and need to add Eric Holm - Barotrauma, Vatican Shadow - Media in the Service of Terror, and possibly Infrastructure Facticity

the only ones i've listened to are swans and autechre. anything you would specifically recommend based on my chart? i've been meaning to check out that andy stott record. i've enjoyed most of his other stuff

here's my thing so far. been a good year for orange milk.

Definetly bottomless pit or black star

Just two albums. Full of Hell & The body collab and Death Grips

...

Cool, I need to check out more metal. Thanks.

Maybe check out Zeal And Ardor's Devil Is Fine if you're in the mood for some experimental metal.

Good selection. Managed to forget that Holden album (thanks for the reminder), is it good?

Maybe check out DJ Metatron's 2 The Sky if you want some more solid electronic music.

>been a good year for orange milk
I agree. Nice selection. Good to see Melt.

Maybe check out Fire! Orchestra's Ritual. As well as Tricoli's Clonic Earth, Lewis' Ett and Toop's Entities Inertias Faint Beings.

>Cool, I need to check out more metal. Thanks.
no problem m8. if you're into experimental stuff then i would recommend the krallice ep on my chart. if you want REALLY raw and intense stuff that verges on noise, then check out the top left on my chart.

as for your recs, i'm listening to devil is fine right now and it's very interesting. i'm loving the bluesy vibe. haven't gotten to anything that resembles metal yet, but i like what i hear so far

i just realized that chippendale is that dude from lightning bolt. he's a freaking beast. i'll check that album out asap

check out Huw V Williams; HON
check out marisa anderson - into the light
check out les halles - transient

These are my two favorites of this year.

I also like Sad Songs about the End of Love by Avital Raz

what are they? i see jenny hval on the left one and i love her

>check out marisa anderson - into the light
will do thanks for the rec man

Oh, my bad

Trondheim Jazz Orchestra/Kim Myhr/Jenny Hval - In The End His Voice Will Be The Sound Of Paper

Ulaan Passerine - The Great Unwinding

cool thx. i'll check out that jazz orchestra one right now. that sounds right up my alley.

Ett came out in 2014 FYI

already heard Ritual. will check out the rest. It's saying that Ett came out in 2014 though.
you know it! trust me when i say the set won't let you down. it manages to be energetic and intense the whole way through.

Yes.

Ah, yes. My bad. Sorry about that.

Ah ok, cool. Yeah, I'm sorry about that.

Did you listen to her album Too which came out this year? I don't like it quite as much as Ett but it's still v good. Made up for the relative disappoint that Pita's album was.

Yes. It was the album that was supposed to be there. I agree, haven't heard Pita's album yet.

damn thanks homie
