Most laptops have a 5 year lifespan while the macbook has a 10-12 year on average? I also have the Fall 2015 15" pro model so there's no way it's obsolete and even if it was you can't even be that much behind. I don't play games or shit, I just use it to edit ads a mac is perfect for my needs.
Most laptops are disposable shovelware these days, a macbook is a quality product
