How are the two connected? What's the relevance? Am I missing something here?
MF DOOM samples the end of this song, thought that was pretty neat desu
tracks 3-6 on the white album are basically the drought where you're waiting for "while my guitar gently weeps"
>he doesn't listen to Glass Onion
>he doesn't listen to Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da
>he doesn't listen to Bungalow Bill

how can anyone who isnt an old fogey enjoy this awful ditty
pleb alert
>it's an improvisational blues jam featuring only Paul McCartney episode
>not being an old fogey
This is the "songs on The White Album that suck" general.
>that cheesy as fuck fiddle playing and trite vocal melody on Don't Pass Me By
Whoever introduced Ringo to bluegrass should be shot. This song is exactly why he didn't compose things by himself.

Yoko Ono has one of the worst traditional singing voices I've ever heard. The only thing she's good at is screaming her fucking head off and making noise rock with The Plastic Ono Band.
You have no idea what bluegrass is
Root-fifth bassline on the 1 and 3 and the vaguely trad Irish sounding fiddle are pretty typical of bluegrass music. I'd have said country in general but the fiddle is pretty indicative of bluegrass in particular.
There's nothing bluegrass about it. Its closer to polka music than bluegrass.
What are you talking about? The fiddle is largely improvised, single note playing and half the time it sounds like he's playing a reel. It's literally the same style of playing I've ever heard any bluegrass fiddle players use on a mid-tempo song like this.
I don't care if you did get dubs this song proves that The Beatles could've jumped on the fake SKA band wagon anytime they wanted
What an awful thing to say on Ringo's 76th birthday. You have some nerve!
I'll bet you don't like Beaucoups of Blues which was his country album that features such greats as Charlie Daniels Jerry Reed and The Jordanaires. Plus if Ringo didn't know anything about country music do you think Buck Owens would've even agree to sing duet on Act Naturally? Think about it.
>Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da
>all white band of English dad rockers playing ska
Your post makes me happy that the only Ringo solo album I listened to was Ringo.
I really don't want to hear an album of Don't Pass Me By tier material.
Go to bed Scruffy. I don't care if you did get trips.
This might be an unpopular opinion but I fuckin hate that song, lyrics really make me cringe.
